A phone call from a Mr R. Mudoch of Sydney Australia to keep the title race going whatever it takes. That's where the 3 minutes came from.

3 minutes stoppage time was interesting.
Where did it come from?

The subs? it was fair.

There is a common misconception over that rule.

They are not obliged to add on 30 seconds for a substitution, like most people think.

There was other fouls in the game, 3 mins was fair, I bet you would be moaning about it if there was 1 min added on

Injury time is completely arbitrary anyway. If they actually added on the correct amount of time for stoppages there would be about 20 minutes added on to every game.

Yep.

I think the ball is only actually "in play" for just over an hour of the game.

Yes every time Man Utd score in stoppage time the officials have played too much.

It gets boring how anti - Man Utd some people can be sometimes. Face it they are by far the best team the PL has ever and will ever see.

Makes me laugh

Oh Man Utd score later again

umm the other team also can score late aswell

Its just the belief that SAF has installed into his players that they must keep going till the final whistle

Maybe they should cut the contreversy, and have 60 minute match on a basketball style stop clock system.

It seems a little barbaric, but I actually think it could work well.
