Watched the game in a pub in Canterbury on Saturday. The atmosphere was great until Green's clanger, at which point a small number of Spurs 'fans' started up with the old anti-West Ham "chim, chimenee..." chant.
Of course, on the opposite side of the room was a huddle of Hammers fans - who proceeded to yell vicious insults at the younger Spurs lads, and it quickly developed into a verge-of-blows verbal assault.
It made me wonder: is there a parallel universe out there where both Argyle, Exeter, Torquay and, say, Bristol City are all big Premier League clubs - and fans of said clubs regularly abuse each other's England players?
I just couldn't imagine screaming blue murder at Robert Green if he had made that error for England as an Exeter player. Or could I?
