...Ok so maybe Emu and whoever else follows a lower league club might have an interest in this, but it's an eye opener and does put certain match incidents into perspective...

So I attend my local team Kingstonian's semi final one off play off match to essex side Hornchurch earlier in the week. (for those of you who don't know K's groundshare with AFC Wimbledon.) Anyway k's finished 2nd in the league and unbeaten in 15 odd games but to be fair only a few points above the oppostion. K's Lost 0-1. K's were very good in the first half playing fluid football and creating a load of chances, but several key turning points - K's best player Sweeney went off injured mid-way through 1st half, and the Hornchurch striker aptly named Payne should have been sent off for at least 5 yellow card offences, in fact the referee gave him so many chances that their management took him off before the inevitable red! The strange part is this - that same player was made to apologise for tweeting about wanting to get sent off only the previous week! Mmmmmm.... The second half K's lacked ideas and not helped by the fact that their top scorer then also went off injured - K's paid the price and Hornchurch hit them on the sucker punch. BANG. Game over. Not as bad as a few years back when a borehamwood fan ran onto the pitch, hit a kingstonian defender and then that same defender lost his concentration for the opposition to then score and win the play off match. Anyway back to the match from the other day here's the infamous sending off twitter statement from the Hornchurch player, Stefan Payne (up the backside) very bizarre:
