Thank you for everything you’ve done for our club. From coming in and saving us and overseeing where we are now. Hopefully Simon will move us onto the next step
A real local-man-makes-good story if ever there was one. Because he is probably a year or two older than me I knew his sister better. But I still recall the reflected pride of the St Budeaux people (I think he hails from Edith Street) and particularly those associated with St Boniface Church when he qualified to join the RAF. The standards for Officer entry were very high. Those who made it to Cranwell (or Dartmouth and Sandhurst) would have their photo in the paper with a small pen-picture too. I remember speaking to him at SG one afternoon and he told me he started going to Argyle in the Ron Blindell/Wilf Carter area. Like many boys of his age he wanted to be as good as Wilf Carter but all these years on he has succeeded in emulating the Chairman instead! But we definitely will have a Chairman who is green through and through.Quizmike wrote:pastiesforlife wrote:Topboy wrote:Emu wrote: Incidentally, anyone know why David Felwick left the board in the first place last December?
I wondered this as well Emu. According to the gospel of Wiki - he left during a board reshuffle after 5 1/2 years but it would be interesting to know why he left.
Also, looking at his history, he went to Devonport High, before joining the RAF for twenty years. He then worked for Waitrose/ John Lewis before leaving in 2002. It wasn’t until 2012 he joined Argyle, so wonder what he did for ten years in between.
Chairman of UK Product of the Year
Interesting interview with Felwick here

Well I suppose you live and learn but some people are seriously out of order and consumed by vitriolic bile. How long before they turn on the next Ooccupants of the hot seats.
