Right, it's time for me to get off my arse and do something, rather than just keeping my fingers crossed hoping for the best.

I'm in the unusual position of being an Argyle fan exiled in Japan. Ever since Risdale said that the money from Japan might be the deciding factor in our survival I've been thinking what I can do. Rather than just walk into K&K Shonan's offices and ask to speak to the boss (not really the done thing over here) it would be better if I had something concrete to deliver. So I've come up with the idea of a petition.

I'm hoping that if I can collect a decent amount of signatures, translate the preamble into Japanese and deliver it in a respectful manner, then we might have a chance of having an impact on Kagami and Synan.

I know I'm not a regular poster on PASOTI, but I'm hoping that you guys can get behind this, sign the petition and spread the word, so that when I visit next week I'll be able to show the level of feeling about the prospect of Argyle going out of existence.

If there are any other Argyle fans living in or around Tokyo who'd like to help me deliver the petition then please get in touch with me through the forum.

Sounds good Greenishhugh. Everything is worth trying. Will there be another preamble emphasising how important the club is to the community and how passionate the fans are about its survival?

Hi Gil,

I'd be happy to add to the preamble if you think it needs a bit more emotion. Never been much of a poet myself so any suggestions welcome!

Me neither mate. Having now looked at some of the comments on the petition so far I reckon they will do the job with regards to emphasising the emotion and breadth of feeling.

Good job! And if as you say, it is presented with respect then maybe, just maybe, it may actually be noted.

Hmm, McDonalds and yellow cabs, that could be any street in America if there were a few muggers and hobos in the picture! :)

Good idea though.

Wow, 37 signatures in only an hour! Keep it coming guys and spread the word. :D

As suggested I think I will translate a selection of the comments for Kagami-san to read, so feel free to write something when signing.

I have signed and added a message.

Well done GH. Please beef up the preamble and add a bit about the Trust. Mr Kagami needs to know the strength of feeling around Argyle and the disaster and national scandal (yes really) if it were allowed to go under.
