Great work matey. :D

However, by the look of what could be happening at Home Park in the next few days, it now seems the best that can be achieved is that we can drop Kagami in the mire with a Japanese football legend.

It looks as if the lack of Japanese money has allowed The Riddler to do what The Riddler has wanted to do all along.

Well done though, you never gave up and you've tracked down the man at last.

I'll translate the email properly tomorrow, but it was broadly positive. Basically it was along the lines of he didn't know anything about the situation at Argyle at the moment, felt very disappointed at the situation and would be contacting Synan and Kagami on our behalf.
He's shown more sincerity in 2 days than Kagami/Synan have in the past 2 months.

Fantastic work again Greenish!

Ok, so I've done my best at translating the email directly from the Japanese, but bear in mind that I'm not qualified! I'm pretty sure that I've got the tone right though:

Dear Mr Andrew Hancock,

This is Mamoru Asada from FOL Sports Tokyo responsible for the management of Mr Yasuhiko Okudera. We spoke on the phone earlier.

When I received your letter concerning Plymouth Argyle I sent it directly to Mr Okudera. He read it personally and thought the situation was extremely regrettable.

Mr Okudera has been completely out of touch with Plymouth Argyle's situation and actually has no direct authority or jurisdiction over matters.

This isn't a recent development but has been the case for some time. He hasn't met Mr Kagami for quite a while and has only had very occasional contact with Mr Synan on the telephone.

If Mr Okudera had known about the situation then of course he would have done what he could to help from his position. We beg your understanding that Mr Okudera has never been directly involved with the club's administration, but Mr Okudera intends to make efforts to urge Mr Kagami to support the club.

Yours sincerely,

Mamoru Asada

So it may seem a bit short, but it definitely proves that he's been in the dark about what's been going on (good job we sent the letter!) and that he'll do what he can to put pressure on Kagami to do the right thing. Just wish I could be a fly on the wall when Kagami/Synan get the phone call. :)

I'm going to send a reply with some more detail about the petition and some of the translated comments from individual fans that I prepared so that he has extra info. I'll also send a copy of the "£2 million promise" letter so that he has plenty of ammunition.

If anyone wants to see the original Japanese then feel free to check it out here (PDF file)

Ha! Great work! Keep up the efforts, absolute quality!

That said, he is our President. Why hasn't he been taken an interest off his own bat, so to speak?

I think he is the President of a number of clubs, Jerry. In Japan its more the honour of using his name rather than him ever taking an active interest.

Great work again though Hugh, the sad reality is (and this is no slight on you) that with the developments at HP, Kagami and Synan have wriggled there way out of this one...

The only hope is that the likes of Okudera, never align themselves with them again, making the prospect of them trying to do this with another club in the future highly unlikely...
A long way from home....
