Great idea guys, total respect :nworthy:

Have you got a plan b (& c), perhaps they do not have the money we think / they say they have, what then. Is there a way of helping him gain publicity (marketing) & consequently increase sales or something?

Alternatively you could spin it that you're visiting him to thank him for helping our club. I just think you may be dealing with a different situation we've been led to believe exists.

Perhaps his brother would respect your commttment & help out. Perhaps thats plan d - the family embaressment / competition...
If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?

Dont worry - I have a lifetime degree in Dignity and respect

Apart from that time at Home Park when Argyle conceded a goal (or failed to score one) and you turned round and shouted the F word at my eldest daughter from a range of about 2 feet...

Good grief - and I've allowed him to spend time with my 'boy' abroad!

You should be worried ... he was such a nice boy :)

I refer the honourable gentleman to the answer I gave previously :)

Total Knobber ....

I've just seen this thread and if the three of you were to get out here, I'd happily shout you a few pints!

I think it's the kind of action that could have a big impact in the media in England. I don't, however, think it would have much impact at all with the Japanese media (maybe with the English-language media here). The media here are very conservative--nationalistic even--and they tend to avoid reporting on anything that reflects badly on Japan (there are plenty of such stories that overseas media carry but that the Japanese never hear of from their own media).

What Japan's media does do, however, is report on anything they consider as Japan being slighted. Within the right wing (and that includes the mainstream media) this is a constant theme used to try and encourage a "them (the world) against us (Japan)" kind of nationalism, IMO. If someone in Plymouth was to contact the NHK, Yomiuri, Asahi, and Sankei bureaus in London and tell them Argyle fans were planning to burn Japanese flags outside Home Park, that might get some attention.

Yep, if the club closes down that would get some attention as well. (Not that much though and it would be soon forgotten.)

Bless him as he is only trying to help!

Also how about getting a full size picture or blow up versions of Kagami and et al and getting some Argyle fans to beat the cr*p out of them with Kendo sticks outside of Home Park! That might also get them moving in Japan!!

I know a martial arts supplier if anyone is willing. :)

Is this still going ahead? Can't see any mention in the thread, but have noticed that the title has changed to "(off for now)"?

So this isn't happening?

I've got the week off this week, I'd do this.

Someone PM me if it goes back on.

i think it was delayed due to the imminent money coming in from Japan as mentioned in the herald at the end of last week,

there is no point in going if the money comes through

if there is no money on its way i'm sure it will be back on as sooon as
as Kermit the frog once said "It's not easy being green"

Given the (less than reassuring) assurances from Mr Synan today - perhaps some travel planning is still needed or is it now too late to save our club?

Japanese money is 'promised' on the 5th Feb..

High Court date is on the 9th Feb.

Gives anyone willing to go 4 days to trek to Japan and hunt down Kagami.
