I was glad more turned up at the Piazza than when I first arrived. But then again I was early thanks to the train.

Well done for the organising Leigh, it was a great effort and partially paid off I would say.

My only gripe was that it felt as if we were strategically moved from the directors entrance and then people started to get bored and disappeared. This led to The Stapletons (in 2 separate cars!) getting the better of us and getting in without even a word from 'us'...

however many, and whatever age, it was enough to get a full report on the Football League show tonight, well done Leigh and everyone who turned up!! There are a lot of greens who can't get "home" and a lot of support as a result of the reputation of the Green Army from other clubs, so any publicity is good publicity. Do what you think is right, get on Soccer-am, call 606, just get this out there and show you care. Argyle's first appearance in front of HMRC was on the same day as Windsor and Eton FC - who closed the gates last week and folded. Don't let Argyle become a thing of the past!!!

In my opinion there would have been better numbers if a 'save our club' march to simply highlight our plight to the national media had been arranged instead of a protest as that is something everyone could have got behind.

Aiming all the blame at the local directors just doesn't make sense to me as although they've a degree of blame I certainly don't believe they ever wanted to see Argyle where it is today and they got suckered by the new world like the rest of us.

And let's be honest there are many people to blame and many reasons for our plight from the apathetic Plymouth public to the hardcore fan urging the board to sell out to some money bags consortium who were never likely to have an emotional connection with the club. There is also the terrible signings by our once greatest manager Paul Sturrock and the greed of the modern footballer being paid vastly over the odds and still not being fit to lace the boots of some of our previous players who were paid very modestly by comparison.

I think we just need to concentrate on surviving and learning lessons and making sure this never happens again.

Not forgetting Sky Sports news and Westcountry news, and I'm sure the Herald and possibly the WMN should have something in tomorrow. Could be on Spotlight too. I don't care if there were 50 or 500 marchers, the plight of our club has received lot of publicity because of this event.

just back from a nice weekend in plymouth, if the average age was only 18 then i must apologise as my 7 year old must have influenced it. It was looking disappointing number wise when we were waiting to start but the numbers soon started to swell as we made our way from town, if only the people beeping from their cars had joined the march then there could have been double the number walking, as it is it felt good doing something proactive and whether it will have any influence or not at least we tried. Well done Leigh on organising it and to everyone who got involved.

Just want to take this opportunity to clear something up. This was not a protest aimed purely at the local directors, this was aimed at 7 peoe who have brought the Club that I love to it's knees. This was to raise awareness of the clubs plight and make the people of the city know that while a lot don't care there are a few that do.

For every person who has criticised the average age of the attendees, those 18 year olds and indeed the 7 and 9 year olds who were there are the clubs future, they will have kids that they will take to matches and buy shirts. They are the ones who will organise marches when we are gone.

I personally applaud every single one of those people who joined me on Saturday to help raise awareness. It will be one of many marches, so support it or not, why not act positively and try to promote them with me so 200 can be two thousand?

Just to add to that. There was a select group around 18 years of age that were the most vocal there. Not chanting obscenities or masquerading themselves as Argyle fans just joining in the furore, but in my opinion genuinely there for PAFC.

Any future protests will need those lads to be there, as this protest proved most of 'us' stay at home and whinge about passwords to forums that didn't exist.

Agree wholeheartedly. The march achieved it's aim 100%.

My only problem was that because I was interviewed by Pete Barraclough (complete with Sky Sports jacket) as we were heading out of the town centre, and I was with a chap who struggles to walk after a fall, we never managed to catch you fast-walking young buggers up. :)
