In the messages with the article one poster states:- "Maruka, Kagami's company, says Synan doesn't work there anymore."

Is this true? If so, is it a smokescreen to maintain the honour and integrity of Kagami?

I don't normally speculate on things, preferring to sample the 'proof of the pudding' and all that, but this aspect intrigues me, if the assertion is true.

If it's true (i.e. Synan no longer works with Kagami), then it is a very recent thing. I don't think it is true though, although K&K is a subsidiary of Maruka so that might be where the confusion comes from?

I can't imagine Barclays with their high profile sponsorship of the Premiership wanting to be associated with the largest ever Football League club to fail. I imagine their account manager is in banking parlance being friendly but firm!.

It was Todd that picked up the running on the World Cup bid in July 2009 after Kagami was on board.

There's a serious lack of knowledge from some Posters on how the whole financial/Mortgage /Banking system functions.

Banks have virtually free rein in how they control Accounts, they can transfer funds, freeze accounts remove credit/Overdraft facilities at will if they think their money is at risk.

Mortgage Companies however, cannot call in a loan just because they think there's a chance future payments might not be made, you pay the monthly payments and your safe.

So, Lombard can't evict PAFC even if the Club go into Admin or Liquidation, payments have to be missed, the matter has to go to Court etc.

BUT, if Barclays were feeling nervous, they could close or freeze the account, stop payments going out etc. As they haven't done so, (and PR and other doom-mongers would have said if they had) is anindication that Barclays, at least seem to have more confidence in PAFC than some others.

PS A £600,000 O/D for a business with PAFC's turnover is very small beer.

Synan says that funding from himself and Kagami will arrive by Monday... let's hope so.

As Kevin says, that's the Herald's editorial. The news story with Synan's quotes will be online after 3pm, I gather. It's in the print edition of the Herald, and a shorter version is in the WMN. (We chucked an Exeter Chiefs egg-chasing story off the WMN back page last night to make room for it).

Quote from GS in Herald

"We are targeting next Monday to actually be on the ground [in Plymouth].

"I want to be there in person to make sure everything is coordinated on that side."

I hope a few of the Green Army will be outside to meet him, in person.

I would think it very likely we have missed a number of monthly payments and if we go into administration will miss more. It wouldn't be long before Lombards re-possessed.

I think they know they have done their money and this is the only way they can get any satisfaction at all by seeing the people who got them into this with the begging bowl out.

I posted last night that i am desperate for their money to come, i still am but i don't think it will.

What a mess.

Where is Campbell in all of this mire??? He is supposed to have introduced these japs to Argyle isn't he?? At what point did he believe that Argyle could be used as a vehicle for the world cup bid???

If the Japs loaned Argyle yet another two million as suggested, wouldn't that take our debt to around 12 million?? If this is the case how long would it take a league two side to pay that sort of money back??

Administration is looming whether we get the money or not. What would Kagami get out of it if he supplied the said money and we went into administration towards the end of the season?????

SORRY IF THIS HAS BEEN COVERED...!!!

In my eyes majority shareholders don't 'loan' money to the club. They invest and pay what is neccessary for the business to function.

Something that these bunch of jerks have failed to do up until now!!
