I'm sure I've read somewhere that if you take a 10 point deduction before the March deadline, but would have been relegated anyway (without the -10) at the end of the season, that the deduction still carries over to next season?
Can't find anything in the FL or FA website rules about points deductions for administration.
Postey's article says:-If Argyle go into administration on Monday this is before the deadline of March 24th which means they will be docked 10 points. After that date the 10 point deduction will be suspended until the following season. If the Pilgrims' enter administration after the deadline and escape relegation, the 10 points would be deducted that season - but if they are relegated anyway, 10 points would be taken off the following season.
Once Argyle enter into administration the Football Creditor rule will apply, this means that the appointed administrator must try and settle all football related debts first and foremost.
Outstanding transfer fees to other clubs and wages to players must be met as a priority with loans given to the club by the Directors not deemed as important.
