In that case ....... your staff are worth a thousand of each and every one of you. It beggars belief that you don't even have the decency to treat these breadwinners with respect, let alone pay them from your combined wealth of scores of millions. You are exploiting them, taking advantage of their loyalty. How pathetic! The lowest of the low. I hope you can look yourself in the mirror. I for one can't even stand the sight of any of you. You have no dignity left in the eyes of many thousands. You're an embarasment. If you want to reclaim one tiny iota of your integrity, then do the right thing and put the future of the club first. Admit defeat. You gambled. You lost. You failed badly. Move on. The more you cling to power, the more ridiculous you look and the more angry that decent people get. Give up custody of the club. It's not yours to keep and and never will be. JUST GO!

 ......breathe out .....and relax....

the powers that be at argyle should hang their heads in shame. as usual, the "real" people at football clubs, not the players , as they will move on to yet more undeserved wealth, but the workaday people in the shop and offices who turn up day after day thinking of the club more than themselves. i am proud to have supported my club all these years and equally as proud of these fine, unsung heroes.

A very humbling and touching statement. Throughout all of this Peter Reid and all the staff have been dignified and a credit to the club. If only the same could be said for our board of directors. Unfortunately their lack of morals and decency means they probably won't give a hoot about this latest statement.

Very touching, well put and hopefully pulling at the black withered hearts of the Malignant 7.

I can only echo everyone else's praise for the staff of P.A.F.C. regarding their selfless attitude and for the immense dignity they have displayed during such trying times.

Of course, as fans, we all hope and pray that not only will our club survive but that they will also all manage to retain their jobs and receive any back pay owing to them.

However, if the worst comes to the worst, I will happily create employment within my company for at least one of their number (and hopefully more than one) and I'd like to think that other employers amongst the fanbase would be prepared to make a similar gesture. I know it won't be much substitute for working for our beloved club but at least they'll be guaranteed a pay packet on time!
'tis all about going up and down!

Makes you proud, well done to the staff and let's all hope that there is something positive to come out of tomorrow's meeting.

The Herald asked the Argyle Fans' Trust for a statement in response to that made earlier today by the staff at Home Park. This is what we said

"The fact that the staff of Plymouth Argyle have felt compelled to issue such an emotional and heartfelt plea to their employers, the Directors of Plymouth Argyle F.C. perfectly illustrates how out of touch those Directors have become with their staff, the players, the supporters and the wider community of the City. Those Directors should remember that they are just temporary legal and financial guardians of the football club and they have collectively failed in their duties and responsibilities to a totally unacceptable degree. If the Directors are unable to meet their obligations to creditors in full we believe that the best interests of Plymouth Argyle F.C. will be served if they voluntarily step aside and let the appointed administrator work with potential new owners, the City Council and the club's supporters to secure a better and more sustainable future for the club. To do anything else would be an unacceptable risk to the future of Plymouth Argyle F.C. as a Football League club as it approaches its 125th anniversary."

How can anyone on the board ignore this?

That is a stunning statement from the staff which brings a lump to the throat.

Read it and weep, you miserable bunch of failures in the Boardroom.

This is OUR club. Give it back.
Ha! Early retirement beckons - stuff working...
