Please see below the Statement of the Staff released just now. It goes without saying that everyone who has Argyle in their hearts will echo every word.

We believe that Friday’s board meeting is probably the most important in the Plymouth Argyle’s 124-year history.

We believe that tough decisions need to be made at the meeting to secure its future.

We would therefore urge all directors to put aside any personal interests when it comes to making those decisions, and act only in the best interests of the Plymouth Argyle Football Club.

We call for the board to reach a clear, concise, united, and workable solution which will secure the club’s future.

We appreciate that the consequences of such may not be palatable for individual shareholders, as, indeed, it might not be for individual members of staff.

However, what is paramount is the survival and future of Plymouth Argyle.

We remain disappointed that various board members have continued to send out unclear and unhelpful mixed messages about the best way forward for the club.

We are currently working without pay – and with no indication of when we will next be paid – because we want the club to survive.

We are proud to work for Plymouth Argyle Football Club, a club at the heart of a huge Westcountry community.

While many are hoping and praying for its future, only six men can directly influence that future.

To let it die would be indefensible.

Such moving and necessary words from the hearts of the Argyle staff.

How can anyone on the board ignore this?

Read it, and be humbled, directors.

The dignity shown by ordinary members of Plymouth Argyle's staff is a credit to to them. The club's Directors should take note and feel ashamed for their own actions. Or is that inaction?

It's been said a thousand times, but those feckless idiots supposedly running our club, simply don't deserve to have such decent people on their books.

Each & every one is a credit to the club & it's supporters.

I'm a big softy, and it genuinely brought a tear to my eye!
What fantastic staff we have at the club!
The directors should be ashamed of themselves.

Most Impressed. Quality employees. If the worst comes and some lose their jobs in the future due to admin etc then they would only need to put their previous empoyment on cvs to future employers to secure new positions.

Follow their example - email the board now. Let's show them that we all stand together in the fight for OUR club's survival. BOMBARD THE BOARD

Completely agree, fantastic statement, makes me very proud of them. I'm glad we were able to put our distain of the directors to one side so that we could run another collection, they clearly deserve it.

Just proves to everyone that PAFC staff are everything that PAFC directors are not!
