That's good news (I think).. Hopefully by the end of Monday we will all be able to relax a little.

Fingers crossed.

If no bidder is accepted or forthcoming, do we go out of business on the 17th?

In short yes - the administrator will liquidate the club.

So how does this reconcile with begging for tenners, 'Great Escape' funds and auctions of Cup Final medals ?

Surely if someone commits they are accepting financial responsibility (subject to terms being agreed) and if there is no interest we're done for anyway - or am I missing something ?

I know its not easy to keep calm but Brenda did the same at Palace..... and then extended the deadline another 7 days.

Brenda only had funds to see the club through to the end of the season. The deadline was in the close season, no money, no matches for income and the sale of season tickets not allowed.

So, final date for bids to be submitted is 14th. The date for Brenda to choose the preferred bidder is the 17th. What then? Does that bidder have to provide the funding to Brenda from that date? If so, does the preferred bidder have a period of time when he can look deeper into everything and still pull out or is he, from the 17th, the owner?
I hope it really is confusing and not just me being a little slow on the uptake.
