Would this mean another points deduction at the start of next season?

You have to be f*****g kidding.

At this stage, with this offer, Ridsdale seems like Jesus, Bhudda and Batman all roled into one.

A G and T is normally quite nice but this particular version is rather distasteful!

A source connected to the Affinity bid told BBC Sport they thought Guilfoyle had already made his "preferred bidder" choice.

"It looks like a done deal, to be honest. We're struggling to get a look-in and it's incredibly frustrating,"

Two positives, one, they seem unlikely to succeed, and two, we can be optimistic that liquidation is unlikely.

I understand what everyone is saying, but if no other bids came in, would people rather see the club liquidate rather than carry on under Todd and Gardner? In my opinion, if they did come back then they couldnt do a worse job than the first time. This would have to be a very last resort though, they are the rock bottom of the list, but still above folding completely...

....and I may be being thick here, but why didn't they inject the capital into the club before we went into admin.

Ok, that was a rhetorical question - we all know it was because they could wipe out almost all of the historical debt before claiming the club for themselves.

Still, it's just the first bid and I still wouldn't back against Ridsdale.

This was said this morning. From the herald ex-chairman Sir Roy Gardner insisted he had “no involvement” in any talks over a bid for the club

On first reading I overlooked the key quote:

"It looks like a done deal - we're struggling to get a look-in and it's incredibly frustrating."

Let's hope so

Well if the BBC facts and figures are true then I'm actually quite relieved about this bid. They've set the bar that others must now raise.
