Pollard Army - Collected an incredible £5000 for the Staff

Sue Pollard needs YOUR help!!

Sue Pollard wrote: More collection buckets going around the ground would be a great idea ... but the stewards have a job to do, so probably wouldn't be allowed to hold one ... same for the gate people who will be looking out for collecting £10 donations from season ticket holders.

If there is anyone reading this post / thread who is willing to volunteer to hold a collection bucket themselves, for an hour or so before the match begins, then that would be great. We could all stand in different areas (inside or outside the ground).

You could then take your collection buckets (about 2.45pm) towards block 5 at the dem'port end (where the big entrance / exit is by the ambulance part) upon which I would be waiting to take these collections off you, to store safely during the first half of the match ... and taken to Ian during half time.

Just felt with todays news of what our poor staff have now had to do / go through ... and the anger and disgust this has generated between the fans ... that the Rochdale match would be 'the one' to get more donations given with this bit of news freshly etched on our minds.

If anyone would like to volunteer, then leave a message here to say so and something can be arranged between us about the buckets / where we would stand to collect etc.

Personally - I will have my bucket at the trust meeting (so may get some donations there) / I shall go along to the fanfest as Ian suggested, but I still intend to go around to the dem'port end to stand outside there for a while.

Just to let you know ... there will be 5 of us (so far) around the ground tomorrow.

We will decide where each of us will stand when we meet up.

Thanks to all that have offered to help :appl: :huddle: good on you!

It's such a worthy cause people ... if you can not help with the collections ... PLEASE help by finding one of these buckets and donating something instead ... and see if we can make a good hit with this

Each member of staff deserve this for what they've been through / are still going through :nworthy: and this is something, together, that we can do to show our appreciation of their outstanding loyalty to US and OUR club :appl:

Cheers

Sue,

I've PM'd you, but I'll be returning two of your orange buckets at the Trust meeting.

If you can provide the cellotape and logos, that would be handy.

:huddle:

If I haven't said it already, if you get to gate 26 (player entrance) and give me a call, at whatever time you arrive, I'll get you to Gary and the gang. :)

Thanks Ian (pm was sent in return).

Will get some more logo's made to bring up with me and will call you once I've arrived at Home Park

Just one more thing ... will you be able to arrange another one of those 'passes' for me. The one I had before was just to allow me around places for the Swindon match

Cheers Ian

I'm sure we can get you an all points pass Sue.

In fact, I reckon you should have the keys to Home Park.

I'm working on it now.

Sue,

Go down to the main office, which is between Gate 26 and the Fanfest area, and ask to see Rick Cowdery.

Rick has promised that you'll get an access to all areas pass for you, your helpers and your orange buckets.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Sue Pollard and her helpers, with their orange buckets at the Trust Meeting, business lounge and Home Park have collected an amazing £5000!!

This is a rough first count, but the final won't be that far out.

Bill and Mark from the GT's missed most of the match as they counted the money (I left after we counted £2755.00 in notes) so we have to thank those two as well for a great effort.

£5000!!!! I'm still in shock!
