Not the worst business plan I have heard for Argyle, I must admit.

I'm prepared to front a rival consortium but only on the condition that the grooming product company providing Staplewallet's personalised PAFC moustache combs is placed 1st on the list of secured creditors.

I've had an idea, why don't a few of us get together, borrow some money, buy Argyle, then move the loan over to Argyle and use the income the club generates to service the debt?




Naa, no one could ever get away with that could they.

How can this even be a story? Someone who denies something no one even considered to believe.

Maybe, just maybe, the Herald did not believe the denial to be entirely truthful, hence they chose to run the story. Just a thought.

And if I had a pound for every occasion in my 30+ years in journalism when somebody has denied something which turned out to have some truth in it, then I'd be able to afford to buy Argyle. Well, maybe not, but you get my drift...

He couldn't buy Argyle in anycase whether the story is true or not. He would have to sell Truro first before he would be able to buy PAFC which i dont see him doing tbh.

Good point or perhaps he just wants exclusivity then he'll sell Truro - he'd have a few months to do it I reckon.

Why would he spent ex amount of money on a failing football league club when he can spend the same amount and have a team two promotions from the football league with a brand new stadium they will part own?

Because Argyle have;

A fan base which Truro are unlikely ever to match

Football league status

A reasonable infrastructure already in place as far as ground and training facilities are concerned

Almost limitless scope for development,both in terms of ground and gates

i didn't think millwall went to well for him

But Millwall had limitations that aren't there with Argyle, hotels and venue complexes... he's got strong ties with exciting projects in the south west.

THis article back in 2006 says want he wanted to do - could you imaginbe 500 million being spent on and around Home Park ...!!!

He alos planned to make Millwall a top 15 club in the country - he's certainly got the money to do it with Plymouth with far more to offer than Millwall, and getting us so cheaply as well.
