Can't work this out either ... Too much murky water!
I can understand the desire for confidentiality ... but that differs from transparancy. :?

Isn't it because one is committed to fund and has the money to do so whislt getting the best deal for the creditors which is what the administrator is all about...nothing touchy feel comes into it

From previous posts it would appear Brent was more dependant on the council paving his way through planning permissions etc
Exactly
But Heaney is only really in it for the development isn't he? There's no money to be made from the football. He'll need the planning permissions just as much as Brent.
Probably....he might be happy with permissions as they stand and doesnt need to push PCC to waive any covenants or extend the plans to make it work for the time being

This would be a serious case of 'deja vu'. We have just seen where absentee, oriental, non-football interested directors have got us. No cohesion, imperfect communication off the pitch, leads to problems on it. I personally do not think the return of the Japs is on the cards. My opinion of BG is that he is too canny to let it happen. The recent earthquake is anticipated to knock their economy back at least 3% and I would have thought their capital would have been best preserved to protect their own Japanese interests rather than put their toes in the water 1000's of miles away on a speculative project, which has already failed once. I just feel the Japs would be only endeavouring to recoup their losses to the detriment of team building, should they ever get lucky. Mr BG, no, no!

Still don't see how he would be the preferred bidder over Brent who has more wealth and on the face of it better development ideas that would link to improving the football club.

Something doesn't seem right here, as I still see Ridsdale being involved with the winning bidder.

It could be that these were the only ones prepared to put up the 'six figure sum' to be the secured bidder. If that is the case there is nothing the administrator or Ridsdale can do to get their preferred bidder on board.

Brenda has already stated that the two bidders jostling for 'preferred' status have ticked the 'no publicity' box. It was inevitable, consequently, that either or both of those bidders would deny everything, if approached.

I think that hits the nail on the head. If you didn't want anyone to know you are hardly likely to say to a journalist "actually I am the one". In much the same way that Holloway didn't want anyone to know he was talking to Leicester until it was a done deal.

it would be stupid for heaney to declare his interest with truro still very much in the promotion race, seeing that he has bankrolled the club for many seasons it would automatically create an air of unstabillity around the club as with no heaney they may go backwards.

Not much he can do to prevent that now, apart from categorically deny it that is....

Wasn't the last instance of "categorical denial" made on December 6th 1941?
