I think this news is fairly reliable and important.

I strongly disagree, I think if the story were, "Brenda's decisions are extremely baffling and a cause for concern", I could go along with that. There is no link to this story, in fact Matt Slater and BBC Cornwall both think there is no substance for the story, tis all hearsay at the moment, Pasoti at it's hysterical worst.
I must be phsycic.

I think that too.

Until there is substance,i will not worry about this rumour (as that is all it is at the moment).
Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.

I'm cool wherever it goes, I simply chucked into an existing thread, what I had been told by a fery reliable source.

Saying that, I spoke to the club this morning, when arranging PR's Q&A and they knew nothing of it.

As someone has said, there is no link, so, Rumours it is then. :)

Tick tock....................

Cheers for clearing that up Ian, I thought it was 99 percent news but if you spoke to the club, I put it at 50/50

I propose a new board then 'Things that are to do with Argyle which provoke alot of discussion and/or navel gazing and/or much ado about nothing and/or have some interesting things on but also some downright banal things and/or anything else which might be a rumour or might not depending whether you trust the source or not'

Once the mods have set that one up perhaps this thread should go there

Smiffy will be happy :)

Was out last night and painting the shed this morning (that's not a euphamism BTW :)). I've now logged on to some juicy PM's and then started wading through the threads.

I won't be happy until some stability exists at Argyle again. Problems I don't really want to hear about, I want solutions. I've called my preference as you all know, he's streets ahead of anyone else but until that's a done deal it's difficult to be happy with uncertainty. The 'Irish' dropping out would be great AFAIC but as much as it opens the door to Brent it also opens the door to Buttivant, out of the frying pan and into the fire?.

Guilfolye's flush is now busted, it's been an unmitigated disaster and it just serves to scream out even louder the need for JB's good governance promise, i'm sick to death of words spoken with forked tongues, deals made in secret, anonymity of bidders etc............we need openess, transparency and honesty.

Such is the murk, such is the self interest that I could see Buttivant's complaint (which may well be justified, despite how inappropriate he'd be) being the key. Would you trust Brenda not to give Buttivant new PB status in trade for dropping a complaint?, would you trust a politician not to waive his principles for the sake of self gain?.

Throughout this whole process one candidate has been head and shoulders above the others for the best interests of the football club, not the business as a whole, not the property millions to be made but THE FOOTBALL CLUB. I know the adminsitrator is there to seek returns for creditors and not what's best for the club or the fans, But can someone please explain to me just how in the world of f**k a PB who couldn't afford exclusivity/anonymity payments in a lump sum and had to pay in installments was going to be best for the creditors?, how in the world of f**k was someone so dumb as to not understand the football creditors rule going to reassure those creditors?.

James Brent can pay, can pay quickly, can get on with things quickly, can work with the existing acting chairman and has a team in waiting who'd knock spots off any imported board someone who had not even visited Plymouth until recently could muster .

Mr. Guilfoyle, stop looking for the crock of gold at the end of the rainbow. You said you were not going to entertain timewasters and tyre kickers and yet you've bent over backwards to facilitate a tuppeny-ha'penny outfit led by a previous business failure, when all the while a perennially successful and upstanding businessman has been standing in front of you ready to go...............stop f**king about with time wasters will you and give Argyle to the obvious candidate .
