Oh yes he was - what's being printed in the press is very much his side of the story, which paints him in this 'I didn't really know what was going on, but I'm a good guy really' image.
There are any number of incidents over the years, as far back as the Jones and Foot days, not to mention Pulis and Holloway that will never see the light of day.
Never forget that whilst the meltdown happened under Gardner and Todd, who was in the background sniping away, undermining them for entirely his own ends. The whole collapse of the club from being play off contenders from the CCC to admin and league 2 was as a result of the policies he and his then colleagues put into place - policies that were based on greed and self interest and not for the football club.
