All the skullduggery, secrecy. spin and lies revolve around the development opportunities around your ground. Nobody other than Ridsdale seems to 'care' about the actual club, and it is in fact available for just £1..
So, why not a joint purchase by the trust, the GT (?) and maybe even this website, for the quid, nice favourable lease (at the moment they would sign almost anything to keep the locals from revolting) keep Risdsdale as a paid senior administrator, who would be under serious scrutiny from the new board, include people like Peter Jones, everybody at senior management level works for free for the first couple of years, (other than Risdsdale obviously ) and work with a squad of the best youngsters around, who will be thrilled to play in front of 8-10k every week, which you will get as long as you are doing reasonably. Remember L2 is shoite. City scraped out, and a fairly woeful Torquay team nearly did.
And completely forget about the real estate deal, as long as the lease is long enough, who should care? Rebuild your club, and with trust ownership this way, you don't have the horror of a 5 step league deduction. It would be a very clever piece of buisness I would have thought..
Anyway, sorry for poking my nose in
We can do without more variables with regards to the purchase of the club. It needs somebody with business acumen. A proven track record in business. I don't really care what sector they're from, but one board, from the off, who will save Argyle. Supporters forums, previous directors, current acting chariman and a combination of these will not work. It is beyond that now, IMO. And i'm not criticising PAOTI, GT's etc (before my post is taken out of context). The Work IJN, Chris Webb and co are doing to help PAFC is phenominal.
Well and truly fed up now. I really thought we'd be in the clear now - getting excited about the fixtures etc. It just aint 'apnin tho is it
