Hi All

Just a quick note to update on what we have been up to following Monday’s meeting.

Firstly, a formal thank you to everyone who took the time to come along to the meeting. The attendance, atmosphere and the conduct of Argyle supporters was first class .

Obviously some new / unanswered questions came out of Monday.

Football League.

We have written to and telephoned the Football League to seek clarification on the involvement of Kevin Heaney in the process. We have covered all of the relevant angles – prospective landlord, the cash injection proposed for the first 12 months etc.

Both in written form and verbally the Football League have refused to comment on the matter.

We have been clear with the Football League that we have a right to know what is going on / get a clear definition of the rules.

On the basis that this issue is key to the future of Argyle we have contacted the offices of both Alison Seabeck and Oliver Colvile who have agreed to write to the Football League asking the same questions in perhaps a more pressing tone.

Preferred Bidder

We have written to and telephoned Mr Heaney today requesting him to meet representatives of the fan base ASAP.

If / when we get any responses on the matters above they will be relayed immediately.

Chris

The Football League appears to have Guilfoyleitis.

Keep up the good work. Don't give them an inch.

I struggle to see why the Football League should be so coy on this.

Either the proposed Heaney-Ridsdale arrangement is within the rules or it is not.

It is not a matter for comment or speculation.

It is a simple matter of fact, as in Pope being Catholic and bears s*** ing in woods.

All the League have to do is provide an answer. Easy really.

Do forgive me, if you have already been down this road, but this link leads straight to the League`s media contacts, if any of you want to take this further.

Good luck in your quest-- and thank you again for all your efforts.

The smell gets worse and worse and, meanwhile, we are getting stitched up like the proverbial kipper!

If anything happens again could we adopt a Question Time type format - where we write out our questions as we enter and the pertinent ones are selected and the questioner is invited to address the "top table " . I just think it would save time and get to the crux of the matter quicker and avoid questions like the bus question .

Of course no pre warning of the questions to the panel .

Good idea greengenes but I am not sure I could handle the responsibility of deciding that the bus question isn't pertinent

Bless. If everyone thought like this lawyers wouldn't be able to earn their astronomical salaries would they?

Forgive the patronising tone Brian - nothing personal. I'm with your thoughts entirely in spirit but rules are simply there in order to enable the legal profession to smear them around and muddy the waters (all the time racking up many billable hours in the process). I can see many SLK's being acquired before all this is settled.

Hi Chris
I also attended on Monday and thought you did a great job and was delighted with the turnout
One other point , did I hear it mentioned that Lombard would be chased to see if any truth could be sought about the old directors guarantees to the loan
I was really frustrated how that question was sidestepped more than once by the top table
Keep up the good work

Thanks again Chris for all your efforts.
A practical point regarding any further meetings, as it is summer how about holding future meetings at Home Park. Setting up is easy as was proved when Holloway did a question and answer session one evening in the Devonport End that was successful.
Cmon you GREENS.
