I know Ridsdale was wanted by Cameron to be his press officer but was found to have too much integrity! Don't all the people in the news these days both local and national seem to come from the same cesspit of moral standards where a lie is only a lie if you are found out?

Seriously though, they were asked to pay £1mil for exclusivity and pay£300K until the day it all finally goes through. So if there is a hitch and the deal falls through Argyle are £700K short and have a couple of days to sort out a new buyer before the season starts: and Brenda thinks he's done a good job? FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead:

So will I give these men £400 for a season ticket? £300? £200? NO. Mr Ridsdale I will not pay upfront. 5500 season tickets to watch League 2 sh1te? Please can you tell me what medication you are on because it must be good stuff. In Ridsdale's world the sky is blue, the grass is green, Home Park is full and we all rejoice that he's saved our club as we sign up for season tickets just because he's asked us to.

BTW I walk 20 mins to get to Home Park so I don't care if the buses are free :x

As soon as they missed/underpaid their exclusivity contract Brenda should have opened it to other parties. Any decent Administrator would have forced their hand and made them reveal identities and put pressure on them for funds. He had the £300K and he could have used this as leverage, but there is obviously something we can't see and that involves BG & Riddler getting the best deal possible out of this fiasco.

Meeting the Riddler may give you a warm fluffy feeling, but the facts from the meeting says this is a crock o sh1te you are being sold and the worst deal imaginable.

flip season tickets, put your money in The Trust, let Ridsdale go bust & then buy the club off the next administrator.

As a City fan...if Carlsberg did Administrations :) ....but seriously I do feel for you.

However, this meeting has done nothing to allay my fears for the club. £1m for exclusivity was not paid, so why was the exclusivity deal not cancelled by Brenda? No more cash has been put up, so how do we go forward?

Buy season tickets for this bag of carp - The Riddler - forget it!

Victor, you didn't upset me. Was just bantering with you

John Petrie wrote: By acknowledging that the PBs are not paying enough to settle the debts Brenda has effectively told us that some of these debts will stay with the club or will have to be negotiated further. If these debts are not negotiated down to the level that the PB is willing to pay then surely they will stay with the club and any money that we put into the club will be, in effect, funding the purchase, as it will help to pay off the debt that was supposed to be paid off in order to get their hands on the land.

And, we are led to believe that there will be a lump sum paid to the club in return for the land and ground and then no money will be put into the club by the PB; with this being the case then surely debts that are paid off over time will be being paid by the club and not the PB, as with Heaney involved they cannot put any money into the club.

Or, will the PBs be taking on the responsibility for paying debts over time and therefore having a clear impact on the finances of the football club, which, I am pretty sure, would be against Football League rules.

They will pay a lump sum on completion of the sale and purchase agreement, rumour has it £5-6m which is not enough to cover our debt. The remainder will have to be paid from income, for example the secured creditors will be paid from the money we get from the TV rights every season. If part of the FC debt is spread over time then that will have to come from income. Unless Ridsdale can get further investment we are in for austere times. If we sold Nelson for £1m that would certainly ease the situation.

If this is the case then Argyle will have to pay these debts in a situation where we have no ground to mortgage, no players to sell except the freebies that Reid can pick up between now and the start of the season (presuming Mason and Nelson are sold to help pay wages). It seems therefore that this would be a real millstone around the clubs neck.

Two questions that seem obvious to ask having read the minutes are;
Given the signing of the contracts, what is the source of the delay - which is costing both PAFC 125 and Heaney's guys money?

If the deal won't be signed before the start of the season, and if no further money is coming from the PBs until then, do they invisage Reid having problems getting a playing squad together - given that presumably ST money will be the only source of income that can be used to pay new players?

Did anyone ask these questions?
Now, I don't know about you, but I don't think the primary purpose of your life, my life and the entirety of the human race's is just to blindly consume to support a failing economy and a faulty system, forever and ever until we run out of every resource

Firstly well done to the fans who were invited to the meeting and represented the rest of us.Unfortunately we cannot beleive anything the enemy have said because they have constantly lied to us for months whilst making huge ammounts of money for themselves.
Until i read this thread i was determined to buy a season ticket asap but now i am not so sure.I will be gutted and ashamed if my money, that i can ill afford, ends up straight into the pockets of the people who are killing my club.More than ever before i now believe that Plymouth Argyle has no future. For gods sake end it now.

So Heaney provided proof of funding to become the preferred bidder of the club for £5m, with an agreement to pay £1m in exclusivity payments. And now .....weeks later:

£700k of the exclusivity payment has NOT been paid
NO deposit put down on the sale and purchase agreement
The staff STILL haven't been paid in full

£300k out of £5m so far, after all this time, and now we have to wait a further 4-6 weeks for any further money. Proof of funding obviously wasn't worth the paper it was written on. Exclusivity agreement was a sham.

They can all go to hell! This is a joke.

They aren't getting a penny out of me.

Chris et al :nworthy: Keep up the good work!

For the sake of the staff ...

Chris Webb wrote: CW/DL/IN/MR all put forward that the proceeds of the friendly match against Bristol City be put towards a hardship fund for the Argyle Staff. This idea was warmly received by PR and BG will check with the PFA (to see if they are OK with money coming in going directly to staff and not shared with players) before giving us an answer.

PR also agreed to ask Kevin Heaney to hand over Truro City’s share of the gate receipts for the forthcoming friendly to the staff fund.

Let's hope the PFA do accept this and that knowing all proceeds from this match (and a share from the Truro match) going towards the staff hardship fund, will encourage a good turn out from the fan base ... who will also have the added part of being able to see the new players for the first time.

With the staff having to defer their wages yet again  and no more money to come from the PB until completion of the sale  it's a chance for the fans (yet again) to help raise a sizeable amount of money to help the staff get through this month (even though it is totally wrong that this should be down to us again!!)

I remember Ian saying on another thread once how, if during one of the matches of last season everyone who attended the match had placed £5 into the buckets, £40,000 could have been raised. Looking at it on this basis, for every ticket sold for these games and knowing the proceeds go to the staff ... then we will be making a great contribution towards the hardship funds ... providing the fan base turn up in numbers of course :huddle:

I know this is an issue that has totally ruffled our feathers and angered us to the hilt (and still will until the staff are paid in full) ... but if our angst with everything can be placed aside 'just for those few hours' of being at these matches ... it would be a perfect opportunity, like I said, to help the staff get through this month.

As an aside to the above ... well done to Chris and Co for today's meeting and keeping the pressure on / giving over the views of the fan base / supporters groups in trying to get answers and expressing our concerns for the club :appl: Top job :nworthy:
