Graham,

I know you have probably accurate answers to those tw questions, but I would have liked to hear the answers from Brenda... they are the two issues that have kept Brent out and starved us of working capital to pay the staff.

I guess the questions will keep for next week...

It was agreed to meet again next week and every week until the situation is resolved.

This was from last week's meeting - sorry if I've missed it elsewhere but is there another planned for this week?

Steve, due to the fact we are having a meeting on Friday, with regard to a rescue package, there is not going to be a meeting this week.

All that attend these meetings (apart from the Trinity) have day jobs, and to be frank, it's difficult squeezing them all in.

We've now met at 0800 in the morning (Heaney outing) 1930 at night, and last week it was 1630 hours when they eventually turned up.

Perhaps we'll start weekend meetings next. :)

There was always a chance that a consortium, who wished to remain anonymous, was doing so because at least one of their members was going to be unacceptable to the FL. He should have insisted on names at that point or disallowed the bid.

How much money was promised in that solicitor's letter (aren't we talking about £5 million)? Where is it now, and, if it's not there, can the solicitor be sued?

Did any of you see the Panorama programme about what happened to our club (Notts County) during the 'Munto Finance' deal?

...Anonymous backers, turned out this was because Russell King was pulling the strings and he wouldn't in a million years have passed a fit and proper persons test.

We had a supposedly cast iron guarantee too...for 5 million which turned out not to be worth the paper it was written on. I just saw some similarities when I read this post.

The difference being, of course, is, before Munto finance came along, the supporters were the majority shareholders...who gave their shares away for a quid. We were unbelievably lucky to have found Ray Trew who has breathed new life into our club. I hope the same happens to you...but if you go down the supporters club route at some point please try to all sing from the same hymn sheet. Once you get infighting and differing agendas going on, it really does become an uphill battle.

I really wish you all the best of luck.
