Yes, but Brenda is the only person who can open that lock, isn't he? Hence the pressure needs to be on him. Publishing a viable Plan B increases the pressure on him to punt the current PB. At present Plan B is a vague 'might be possible' plan, and thus he may continue to bet on the PB producing the goods. Again, give him an easy out.
