Don't think too much Arch, it's not your usual style.

You're right though, JB's not doing it for the sake of his health, of course he's not.

Grumpy Loyal, falls into the same category, too busy slagging off decent people rather than attempting to see what they are trying to do.

I'm not too bothered for myself, I get slagged off by lots of people, however, it pees me off big time, for the people that have put themselves out for the sake of PAFC.

If I met anyone face to face, including you Tony, I'd say give your backsides a chance!!

Meanwhile Grumpy and his like, can carry on being a detractor, from behind a keyboard.

I only wish I knew what ATD was  But unlike those you describe as gimps I do go to games and alot of them. Im no model fan, but last season as before I was a ST holder, I enjoyed the pre season to Holland and did do 13 away games, so not quite an armchair critic. And as I am known to the ISC, GT's, you and Peter Jones, to name a few I am hardly a keyboard warrior, before that one pops up.

I am most certainly not an Argyle fan bad mouther (bliemy, that was a mouthful) as you would well know, OK except those who were a bit tight with the Staff buckets! You met me on a regular basis last season and this at the QPR game and you never mentioned my backside then, has it got bigger over the close season? i shall be at Shrewsbury if anyone else wants a pop.

But in the meantime and at intervals I will again ask the question Why? Why does JB need a committee to support him when he appears to have made a success of his business life to date without one. This ofcourse could well turn out to be acedemic should Heaney et al finally complete.

And for the person who thinks I have anything against the personalities of the ISC they couldnt be more wrong. I may oppose the organisation but not the individuals.

I don't know why that is so difficult for you to understand. You might as well ask why an owner of a company needs the support of it's shareholders, staff, customers. It's common sense for a prospective business owner to speak to and garner all the support he can get from that business's stakeholders. More to the point, do you think in running his business Brent doesn't have a board of trusted advisors, associates etc to support him? Of course he does! This is no different, just a different context. In this context, he understands that the football club is at the heart of a community of passionate supporters, so he's engaging with representaives of those supporters, getting their opinions, feedback, ideas, support etc. That to me seems to be perfectly reasonable position to take for an intelligent, successful businessman with a lack of experience in football. He's also needs the support of the Council, hence Mrs Pengelly's involvement, and I'm sure it's very helpful for him to have Peter Jones on board, someone whose experience in running a football club would be invaluable to him. I would find it much more bizarre if Brent was doing all this alone.

I totally agree with that. So far so good to those of you involved in the Contingency Plan. If you can translate (given a chance) that high principled mission statement into a high principled reality then you will surely have everybody's support.

Already been answered for you Tony. As has been said he knows nothing about football so he's consulting with those that do. Surely that's got to be applauded?

John Petrie wrote: Alternatively Tony, you could say that the fact that James Brent, an astute and intelligent man, so obviously sees the need to engage with the Argyle community, and its leaders in the Trust, GTs etc, shows just how much has been done to provide a credible voice of said community. Why on earth would he get involved with us if we were not relevant and important to the future of the club. If he did not think that anybody else was needed then he wouldn't bother to deal with them, particularly as regularly and openly.

Ian, I just say it as I see it. I'm not out to network, make friends, or gain votes in the popularity stakes.

When I first 'found' Pasoti 14 years ago, it was a football messageboard, and continued as such for many years, so you'll forgive me for preferring that, in preference to the concoction of 'Facebook style buddie list/Oxford debating Society' it has sadly become.

But back to your detractor comment, my point was that you should just be open about the plain fact that Plan B/ Rescue / whatever it's called this week, is wholely and solely Brents Bid. No one else is putting up cash and no one else will be making decisions. There are one or two on the Brent Cheerleading list whose opinions I respect immensely - principally Mr De Lar, but there are also others who merely crave airtime, and bask in being part of a Popular Front.

Again, just my opinion on a football messageboard (which is what this used to be.)

Tony the last figures are on the trust forum dated 19/7/11. There were 1104 adults and 82 juniors. Total 1186.

As you've asked so nicely, the latest figures as of yesterday morning are... 1183 adults and 93 juniors. Total 1276. Not a bad increase in the space of 12 days. This includes some friends of yours!

Even though I've stopped taking applications for people to be able to vote in the elections,I'll be delighted to input your application.

Oh, make that 1280. Four more joined today.
