Something like Ofwat for Water and Ofgen for energy.

Administrators must be accountable to someone, and if they have made a mess of things, they must pay.

The same reason he 'categorically denied' being involved?

This situation is what BIL wanted from day one, the Clubs going to fold and they will end up owning a prime piece of real estate. We have been tucked up.
Looks painful doesn't it...

So basically Argyle will be no more in a few weeks time.

I say this because Brent wont role over and be a "yes" man to Gullifoyle and who can blame him. But when Gullifoyle realises Heaney doesnt have the money and looks like a major buffioon it seems its all down Brent to come on and save the day but in a stupidly, unrealstic time scale. That aint going to happen.

Gullifoyle told us he took the best deal for the creditors. It aint the best deal Gullifoyle when he never had the money. You been stitched up, good and proper. Made to look rather foolish and when saturday deadliine comes and passes again with no money the only consolation us Argyle fans have is we can finally draw this whole saga to a conclusion.

Gullifoyle will then panic. Tell us Brent must do "this" and "that" to save the club when Heaney was allowed deadline after deadline. It aint going to happen because Brent wont be bullied, and who can blame him.

If you dont do your job properly, you lose your job. If Gullifoyle doesnt get the money off Heaney then he hasnt done his job accordingly. Yet, there wont be an axe against his head.

124 years down the drain and yet this could have all been avoided. If we were a "big" club and not in the remote part of the UK I dont think, under bigger scrunity, that this would have happened.

Brent is no vulture. He won't be railroaded into handing over cash without guarantees and agreements and only a fool would. If the Club folds I wonder if Heaney is aware of what would probably happen... There would be one hell of a whirlwind to reap and it will get very nasty.

In a way the closer we get to liquadation the stronger James Brents position becomes and the better deal he can get.
The 2011-2012 season was the end for me.

Not sure Shane, I fear Brendan would just use any bargaining power as the ammunition to press the button - toss a coin, that's how stupid it has all got now!!

The key is if PCC will buy the ground and how soon they will agree to do so.

Why should the Council need to buy the ground?

There have been posts on this site assuring everyone that Brent has the money.

I can see a scenario where James Brent goes from hero to zero here.

I'm curious as to why JB says he might be unable to seal the seal in BG's timeframe?

When I have previously questioned whether Brent has the funds or needs the City Council to be involved, Brent's groupies have asserted that he has all the money needed and it's readily available.

That being the case, and all things being equal, I fail to see why Brent needs more time. Surely if BIL's bid fails, Brent just steps in and takes it over. To the creditors, the only change would be the name on the cheque.

However, I have a suspicion that all things are not equal, and Brent is still trying to do deal for less money than BIL are willing to pay (which is why Guilfoyle went with BIL in the first place...better deal for the creditors)

So, is the knight in shining armour just another property developer in disguise?
