My dad took me to my first match at Home Park in 1967 against Rotherham and although we moved as a family when I was young to Somerset and 'adopted' Yeovil, Argyle will always remain dear to my heart - one of my proudest moments was when my two sons were the mascots for the Yeovil Argyle Carling Cup match a few years back.
Sadly my Dad died some years back but I remember him telling me about attending the first matches back at Home Park after the war when the whole club had to be effectively rebuilt - I remember him saying that the crowd had to stand on railway sleepers. I thinks its that sort of siege mentality that is needed now.
Last season when Yeovil scored their scrappy winner I found it hard to celebrate, even though we needed the points too, and I came down to Home Park for the Milton Keynes and Orient matches. I have to say that I found the crowd awesome - the procession of the staff was truly humbling.
Yeovil are away on the 24th - so my two sons and I will be coming down to Home Park to lend our support and I'm trying to get a few more from Yeovil to come down too. At least our colours won't be out of place!
Good luck guys - keep fighting - PAFC means too much to too many for it to be allowed to go under.
