Here's an analogy. Anyone who has spent time on a firing range will have seen simple colours used to signify danger and safety. Funnily enough red and green.

Red flags flying and red lights on means DANGER bullets flying all over the place keep yer head down!

Green lights on means ALL CLEAR safe to bimble about, chilling and smoking tabs etc.

Red is the international symbol for danger, caution and alertness.
Green is the international symbol for safe and clear.

Sorry guys but this is an own goal in my book.

Now that the administrators are talking to others I think Green maybe is more appropriate than I felt it was yesterday morning.

Sadly I worry that green cards will struggle to stand out in the Home Park environment; the pitch is green, most of the seats are green, a lot of people in the crowd wear green...green cards are hardly going to leap out to the eye.

I'm not trying to be funny I just genuinely don't get the significance. 6,000 people waving green cards just says to me "we're alright, happy days here, all clear, no worries".

I suppose if you're looking for attention and to spread word of our plight then you have to try and look at it through the eyes of someone who hasn't a clue what's going on like say a Polynesian Sea-Urchin Farmer? If he tunes into Sky Sports News after a hard day grafting on the ocean and sees 6,000 people waving green cards/flags he's going to think "My what a happy bunch, wonder what they're so cheery about, they must have just won a big game or something" If however he saw 6,000 people waving red cards/flags he's going to think "Aye Aye, what's going on there? they're not happy about something, wonder what it is?"

I've been off the grid since last night but from memory wasn't this going to originally be a red card protest? Then we all fell for the Heaney Out / Brent In gag yesterday so it got changed to a green card. Now it's back to stalemate again we've dropped a clanger and it's too late to go back to red?

The barstewards have diddled us, bet they're laughing themselves sick.

Who will be saying "we alright etc etc?" The media have the press release. The Front of the cards state WE WANT OUR CLUB BACK. The media work on this is being led my myself and the messages will be consistent.

The protest has already been positioned. No celebrations. A thank you to the players / staff and a call for BG to complete the JB bid ASAP.

Then we all fell for the Heaney Out / Brent In gag yesterday so it got changed to a green card. Now it's back to stalemate again we've dropped a clanger and it's too late to go back to red? Who fell for what? Kevin Heaney has no money. The only person claiming he is still in their is Heaney. Do you seriously think BG and PR would be meeting James Brent if the BIL bid was going through??? So its Heaney, esmer and geeman still believing in BIL.The barstewards have diddled us, bet they're laughing themselves sick. As above. Since our view of where we are differs as I have outlined I cannot see how KH or PR will be laughing. One has lost a land deal. The other has lost potential ownership of Argyle

We also have another coup in the pipeline, TBC later which will really raise the profile of the protest if it comes off.

GREEN for Argyle

GREEN for 100% support of Players and Staff

GREEN for Brendan Guilfoyle to seal the deal with James Brent and save the Club.

How about fluorescent yellow cards as a warning to BG, Ridsdale etc? THAT would certainly stand out!! I wonder what this surprise coup is? My money's on a small plane towing a suitably worded banner!

If it is it will be a waste of money, I can remember years ago at an Exeter game, Dan Macauley was trying to buy into Exeter FC he did exactly that a plane towing a flag with the words Dan Macauly for Exeter (or similar) you know what happened next.

Moreover on the 23rd and 24th September, fans at Brighton and hopefully up and down the country will be wearing 'green' in support not just of us but of all those who are concerned about the way clubs are owned, run and put into administration.

Green is a colour that will link all these events.

And it's our colour!!

Has this protest been given sufficient column inches in the Herald? The WMN today mentioned something about a protest but nothing about what sort of protest. The first fans who don't read Pasoti or the Herald are going to know about this,is when one of Sue's army presents them with a green card.

When the focus of the protest will thankfully (same story) be communicated. Whereas those who read PASOTI all have their own ideas!

Trying to be positive, As a second protest, just as the teams come out for the second half,
all the green cards are made into paper planes and thrown onto the pitch.
5000 paper planes on the pitch shoud disturb the game and give plenty of pubicity.
cras credemus, hodie nihil !

Haven't seen it mentioned (apologies if it has) but I was just wondering if there is to be a minutes silence for the 9/11 anniversary? Some clubs are doing one, don't know if we are, but if so how will it impact on the protest?
