Heaney's comments yesterday (that the money was in place and it was just the FL decision that was needed) were obviously the start of his "it's not my fault" damage-limitation campaign. He's just continued the theme today and is focussing his blame sights on BOTH the FL AND P&A for good measure.

Has the FL definitely said it will not give the golden share to PAFC125 during today's meeting?

The League can't do so, because Argyle's secured creditors have not had their money, as promised by the BIL bid. Heaney's attempt to blame the League for the impasse is disingenuous in the extreme, in my view.

Just who is Peter Ridsdale attached to....wasn't he appointed by Brendan Guilfoyle....who don't forget said that if Ridsdale left he would put the club into administration (this was early in the process)

I'm sure he'll just love Heaney acting as his spokesperson

That's it in a nutshell Rupert.

I suppose its too much to ask for a truthful statement along the lines of

"OK I hold my hands up, I haven't got any money, I never had any money. The last 5 months of no pay for the staff and players is my fault and the blame for Argyle staring a 3rd successive relegation lies at my feet"

Like I said earlier - let's get out of this mess. Afterwards we need to focus on those who have caused so much hurt and damage.

Chris

It already is. See today's Herald & WMN story by Edd Moore.

I just hope I have time to write a Viewpoint tomorrow, and that our lawyers aren't too fussy...

That's what I don't get with the Football League, if they are not going to release the share until the secured creditors have been paid, and Heaney has always said he wouldn't part with any more money until he gets the share then why has it been allowed to drag on so long. The Football League could have refused the share months ago on that basis.
Disingenuous, or not, we'll never know if Heaney has the money without the share being granted.

The opposite is also true, if Heaney was never going to part with the money until he had the share, why didn't he walk away when the football league told him that wasn't going to happen?

Heaney threatening to walk is on par with Megan Fox threatening to get her puppies out!

If they did why would he spend all that time and money on solicitors (assuming he pays them) for nothing. The point is the FL should have refused the share on the basis he wasn't prepared to conform to their requirements, which they knew he wasn't.

Looks that way, it's either the Contingency Plan or the Zamaretto.
