So not surprised by poll result so far - 35% undecided, so they can continue maoning whatever happens. Fletch sounds well up for it, give him and Ro a go and let's see what they can do. Good call I say and if it goes completely pear shaped we will have to go the experience route, which has served us so well in the past - not.

Berry is best suited to being the 'number 2' at present...

Forget, if we can for now, Peter Reid's "off-the-field position" over the last few months.

And without getting over-emotional, simply perceive his dismissal from a true football [and therefore results] perspective, not many Managers may have survived the "push" in a similar situation.

But, working with what was at his disposal - how many would have flourished ?

I think the decision was right but the timing somewhat curious - but results DO stand up in their own light and do not lie.

Fletcher + Larrieu - no experience, no this or no that - logic says doomed to failure ?

Fletcher + Larrieu - big hearts, green blood, big personalities, "wanting" to do well and believing they can - emotion says "go on give it a real go".

What is to lose ? - a few more points which may have been lost if Peter Reid was still here.

Finally, although I did not think Peter Reid was the right Manager during his time here, one cannot understate what he did for this Club in times of great adversity - for that alone we should be grateful and admire the guy.

Onwards and upwards - literally and metaphorically.

Keep the Faith :D
But, hey, wadda do I know ?

I think Fletch is the type of man who'll make a good manager in the future. As for now, probably the best men for the job. They are here, they know the players and the situation, and they have a vested interest in the club.
My only worry would be we need strengthening thoughout the squad, will they be capable of judging & bringing in players? PR had a lot of contacts and he was struggling.

Yes, hence the comment, and to give you a chance to avoid a whoosh moment, contemplate what number 2 is synonomous with...

Good luck to the both of them.
I would have preferred a seasoned manager at L2 level for example a Ronnie Moore with Fletch as assistant but hey with the financial constraints at HP this is the best option.

I remember Ridsdale giving David OLeary his first management opportunity at Leeds and he didnt do to bad a job after George Graham left for Spurs.

Onwards and Upwards.
Pay him up and thank him JB.. Mr Reid will always be an Argyle Legend.

F*ck off and support Exsh*tter please! You're really starting to annoy me with your petty posts.
In Feeney we trust! (Not scoring.)

Its a superb decision, fletcher has huge potential as a manager with his tactical ability and also his motivational skills.
So according to charlee appointing our best player, a great gent, a legend to the club and a player who wants to be involved in management secures relegation then? Hmmm, and even if relegation does come why is it secured by this, by the way things were going we were down anyway

Its good decision for me.

Carl seems to love the club and everyone has to start somewhere.

Wish him the best of luck, lets get the takeover complete and move onwards and upwards from there.
