JAMES BRENT TO ATTEND ON SAT + CALLING THE GREEN ARMY!!

Hi All

For many reasons Saturday promises to be a really special day for Argyle supporters.
The Fans’ Trust, Green Taverners and Pasoti will be working this week to do everything possible to get supporters through the gates to cheer Argyle to victory on Saturday.

Hopefully this post will outline just some of the reasons why a large vocal crowd against Macclesfield would make such a huge difference to everything that we are trying to achieve.

JAMES BRENT ATTENDING GAME

For some time now we have been encouraging James Brent to attend a match to experience first hand the passion of the Green Army. He has been in contact today and will be there this weekend – viewing from the Devonport end.

The Contingency Plan Committee have sold this Club to James Brent predominantely based on the passion Argyle Supporters have for their team and the potential to see rising crowds based on getting the right mix on and off the pitch.

This is our chance to show him exactly what we are about. Get along and Saturday and show James Brent that Argyle supporters are the best in the land.

SUPPORTERS MEETING 11AM – PYRAMID SUITE, HOME PARK -GUEST SPEAKER JAMES BRENT

The Argyle Fans’ Trust will be hosting a supporters meeting this Saturday to give an update on the status of the takeover talks. This meeting will be addressed by James Brent and Peter Ridsdale. (we also hope to have time for a Q&A session dependent on time constraints.

The Contingency plan committee and the Trust have been asked for more details on the plans of James Brent on many occasions. We have vouched for his decency and presence as an individual. Come along on Saturday and listen to the prospective owner of our Club.

CARL FLETCHER AND ROMAIN LARRIEU

Argyle two senior professionals have taken the decision to accept managerial responsibilities for our team. They deserve our 100% backing from Saturday onwards.

This is the start of a new era and supporters will have a vital role to play. The Trust will be leafleting at every turnstile on Saturday, giving fans a takeover update and also launching a call for 90 minutes of non-stop support for Carl, Romain and the team this Saturday.

FANS REUNITED

This weekend, thousands of Football Supporters from all over the UK will descend on Home Park in support of our battle for survival. We must pay special thanks to Brighton and Hove Albion fans who have gone the extra mile in the bid to put this event together.

This is going to be a truly memorable and very special day. Lets make sure as Argyle supporters we turn out on Saturday and show supporters of other Clubs that we are desperate for ours to survive.

As a footnote to this on the day of the original fans united 14 years ago Brighton won the match 5-0 and went onto avoid relegation.

ADMISSION PRICES

We had a meeting with Peter Ridsdale this afternoon to discuss safety / plans for Saturday and it was put to him that it would be a great boost to our campaign if admission prices could be cut for Saturday.

Peter Ridsdale was very receptive to this and has put it to the Football League (who need to approve it). Obviously there are no guarantees that they will but we are appreciative of Peter Ridsdale aiding our call for the Green Army to turn out in force!

FANSFEST 1

As always the Green Taverners Fansfest will run from 12-3 prior to the game. Please book early to avoid missing out as advance bookings for this one are going very well. You can get your match ticket / fansfest ticket or just fansfest ticket at www.greentaverners.co.uk

FANSFEST 2

Immediately following the game a joint GT/Trust/Supporters Direct evening event / auction will be held with all proceeds going into the staff fund.

The first team squad will be in attendance. As with the pre match event book early to avoid missing out!

OVERALL

The Contingency Plan Committee, Trust, GTs, PASOTI etc never ask for thank yous or pats on the back for the work that is done but Saturday is a really important day for Argyle, the City of Plymouth and everyone involved in the Club.

We have been relentless in keeping in contact with James Brent, bringing him back into the fold when we had the foresight to see that the Heaney/BIL bid was doomed and generally turning somebody who has never seen a match to being sat listening to the Argyle every match day for months.

This is our chance to show James Brent what an excellent investment Argyle is, this is our chance to show fans of teams all over the UK how much Argyle means to us, this is our chance to create a cauldron at Home Park to welcome our new managerial team. This is our chance to show the world that……….

…………WE’RE PLYMOUTH ARGYLE AND WE’LL NEVER DIE!

There is no doubt this is the most important day in our fight to survive. After this impassioned appeal from Chris how can any supporter want to be anywhere else on Saturday if at all possible?
I can't wait - if you can make it get along to home park and don"t let it be anything other than a fantastic success!

Great news Chris. :D

The key to a success vocally will be the Lyndhurst and Devonport chanting in unity, something I haven't heard in a long time. Whatever it takes, someone calling a friend in a different stand and saying '1-2-3 GO' I want the whole stadium to chant not just 100-200 in the Devonport like it was last week!!! :scarf:
'Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional' - M. Kathleen Casey. She isn't an Argyle fan.

That IS true by the way.
