Reported on Radio Plymouth that he refused to confirm or deny that he would be new chairman. Surely if it wasn't a strong possibility he would have denied it?
Premier League one day?

Peter Jones seems to have a massive fan club on here, can someone tell me why?

I know nothing about the chap, except that he was a director previously. What has he done to deserve the adulation he gets on here?

Not a dig, honest request for information and opinions.

If he doesn't accept the job i'm going to set my wife on him, a fate worse than having to watch an Exeter game or shopping with the wife I can assure you. You have been warned Peter Jones.
You just have to believe.

Despite a period where I thought he was a bit 'chippy' after he left.............it turns out he was right to be and was spot on so can't blame him for that...........he's always conducted himself with integrity and honesty. I trust PJ and there are very few figures in the recent history of Plymouth Argyle that I can say that about.

He was a good communicator and always ensured the club projected a positive image. It was often said that the PR took a massive dip when he departed, a dip that has been in freefall ever since.

He's a genuine fan.

He's experienced with the business of a football club.

He's synomymous with good times at Argyle.

I've no idea if he'd be interested in the Chairmans position but with JB not in a position to bring experience OR time to the position, the idea would be as practical as it would be welcome. Allied to a good CEO with a hand firmly on the tiller, Michael Dunford is available and just about perfect, i'd envisage no reasonable complaints from any reasonable fan that the team assembled are anything less than a collection of talented and experienced people.

Top PR man-bring to help promote the club and bring back the missing fans (in combination with decent football)
He's an Argyle Fan.
He doesn't sport a ridiculous moustache.
He comes from that their London.
He's proper posh (see above).
He sounds like he could be on Dragon's Den and may have access to mega riches (He doesn't) (or does he?) (no he doesn't)
He isn't Peter Ridsdale,
Better the devil you know.
I like the cut of his jib.

edited to add,
He isn't Japanese (no disrespect to the Japanese)
He isn't Suroy

It's nice to have something to smile about, hopefully a few goals and three points tomorrow,

COYG

Bizarre suggestions, please explain the rationale.

Chris Webb has a day job, DUNford I wouldn't mind as a CEO though.

Dunford as CEO and Chris Webb as chairman. He has been an excellent chairman for the Argyle Trust. Stapleton had a day job. I dont know Chris' earnings but maybe a permanent role would be more than he is currently on.

Well I'm with you on Dunford as CEO, and I'd be happy if Peter Jones was Chairman.

Not really seeing Chris Webb as Chairman though lol erm, but of a weird idea that  (Unless you are mischief making)
Expect he would quite like to take a well earned rest after all the takeover situation has been resolved.

Someone on the payroll of Akkeron, or someone who could make a contribution towards some equity would be a realistic choice as chairman I would think. Or JB himself.
