We only have to last until the deal is done. As long as JB can come to an agreement on fees with P&A (I'm sure it'll happen, it's just a bit of end game scrabbling for the best deal), we'll be fine when the takeover is complete. The PB bidder was always going to cover first year losses.

Of course there is risk. It is a cauldron. Should we stay in and fight or should we let P&A demand more fees thus taking even more money out of the staff post.

Sometimes in life Frank you simply have to stand up for what is right.

Of course it's petulance, we're getting to best and finals, leveraging everything that's available - that is exactly why Brent is sticking to his guns. This kind of thing is not unusual.

You see, what's frustrating is that I agree with everything you say in the quote above, and couldn't applaud you and your compatriots enough for some of the things you have done. But the stakes that are being gambled are high - and perhaps in this case not ours to gamble with ....

Still reckon it will work out fine though ...

So getting the mob to march on Castle Guilfoyle complete with flaming torches has back fired.

The best other Own Goal I can remember was scored by Stewart Houston in his Brentford ( I think) days- hit the back of the net at the Devonport end from near the half-way line.

Of course the sad thing is that everyone on Pasoti is focusing on the wrong target. This dispute between P & A and Akkeron isn't about who pays the wages, it's about whether Akkeron are going to complete or not, and until such time, why they are trying to hogtie P & A (who, lets not forget, agreed to do an unfinanced Administration, without which the club would have been liquidated in January) by publicly saying they'll object to the Administrators doing what they might have to do (sell a player) to pay the wages.

The comment that PCC were pressing Guilfoyle for a privately funded deal (yes Akkeron are a private Company, but there bid relies on public funding from PCC) shows that, despite all the confident noises from some quarters, Council support for the current bid isn't guaranteed.

The FL are still seeking "clarification" and there's still Council support to confirm before this draws to a conclusion-that's why Akkeron are not willing to cough up, and why P & A are not willing to extend their risk.

If this deal goes through in the next week, there's hell of a lot of water to go under the bridge in a very short time.

Hello newbie or is it Phil, Paul, Brenda, Peter?

For someone who has only just made their first post to go all antii seems a bit strange. Why join such a destructive group of people?

Think I'm up to three now!!! going to be last of the night though, people to see and places to go etc. Apologies my definition of Irony is evidently different to yours, I thought it would be pretty Ironic but evidently not!!!! il try and cut down on such destructive and antii (not sure what you mean by this) comments in the future! I recon you could class me a doubter to the tactic employed given that Panda have now threatened to resign, Im starting to understand it might be just a threat but understandably i was cr*pping it earlier.

You really do ignore every fact presented to you and write lovely tales.

The comment that PCC were pressing Guilfoyle for a privately funded deal (yes Akkeron are a private Company, but there bid relies on public funding from PCC) shows that, despite all the confident noises from some quarters, Council support for the current bid isn't guaranteed. Key word there Grovy - "WERE" - Have a look at the recent PCC statements. this is an attempt to divert attention by PandA. Surely you can see that? If you want to that is.

The FL are still seeking "clarification" and there's still Council support to confirm before this draws to a conclusion-that's why Akkeron are not willing to cough up, and why P & A are not willing to extend their risk. What risk??? it is based on paying out money they already hold - nothing to do with going forward. I did clear that up for your earlier. You must have missed it.

If this deal goes through in the next week, there's hell of a lot of water to go under the bridge in a very short time.
Yes - together Grovy we can do it.

So PandA are threatening to pull out and sink the Club because of a relatively small campaign against them??

I'm sure, even they, can envisage the consequential campaign if they did!! It would make this look like a picnic

what a bunch of wa-kers they are with threats of liquidation, well if they did liquidate us IMO the phones an emails at panda would be busy everyday for weeks ,months. or as long as it takes to disrupt the everday running of a business, just my opinion of course
It matters not, it matters not, it matters not, it matters not

Understandable mate, and all the rest (apart from Gravehill) of the worriers.

They've played this hand before, those of us who were involved in some of the first meetings, witnessed the Trinity saying the same things in the Argyle board room. Our reply then, as it is now, is BRING IT ON.

They're bullies and like all bullies, we simply need to stand up to them.

Finish our club? They'd never be able to work again, their reputation would be so damaged by this act of petulance, businesses would laugh at them.

Pulling out of a deal, less than a week away, because we rang them a few times.

Man up Brenda FFS.

The P&A are a utter disgrace!

Trying to blame us and PCC - They should be ashamed of this whole processed.

When this is all over an enquiry must take place - f***ing shambles.

Now time for a beer!

Genuine question ...why aren't PandA going after the £700k outstanding from BIL. £1m for exclusivity was the deal. They had exclusivity until the absolute limit legally possible, so why do they let BIL off the hook and instead prepare to shaft the staff. Surely PandA would have made the exclusivity deal legal and binding, so what's stopping them?

Not one for hyperbole, but
iF panda decide that resigning is their way out of this, then I'm buggered if I am going to let them destroy the 36 years of hopes and dreams of myself and thousands of others for the sake of Wayne Rooneys weekly wage.
It's war, not Blitzkreig, but the subtle exended warfare that makes bullies regret their actions as their hopes and dreams disappear in a similar manner.
This whole saga needs to end now panda, cut your losses and accept that you could lose a lot more to people that see further than a balance sheet. Just accept you made a wrong decision, no excuses and protect what is left of your good name.

Or................

You could reap the whirlwind
Right Dave?
