As an Argyle fan of some 17 years I'm proud to support the club and, on matchdays, to be among other people who also get what supporting a football club is really about. People who are prepared to ride the proverbial rollercoaster come what may. People who, to some onlookers, appear to have their priorities wrong and make irrational decisions such as driving half way accross the country at great expense for an hour and a half's entertainment.

These days it's too easy for people to get lost in the hype and pretend majesty of the Premiership and Champions League, only recognising and 'supporting' clubs like Man Utd and Liverpool. In the face of this, being an Argyle fan, even in Plymouth I'm sure, has been a character-building experience for many of us and all this only strengthens our bond with club and the irrationality that goes with it! Maybe we are rational ones? I think we are. We are the true lifeblood of the game - football was built on the true supporters of their local teams long before it was tainted by money and greed - and we deserve to have a club that is in safe hands, does not have threats of liquidation hanging over it, and to have a team that is competing at the highest level it can. We've seen our team compete in the second tier and, although we have no divine right to be there, it is a reallistic rather than ideallistic ambition to see us there again.

But for now, a takeover that gives us solidity and security is more than anyone could ask for and yet it appears, against all the odds, that it may actually happen. Thank you to everyone who has played their part.

For me

Where would I take my son if we had died ?
I have every game he has been too logged for him when he grows up since that glorious day at the stadium of light in 2007 for his first game (Aged 18 Months)

Me i wasnt allowed to go to the semi final too young,or Highbury in 86

But I have made up for it since was at Wembley 96 was at Burnley 98 was at Rochdale & Darlington 2002 as well as Kapfenberg in 2007 and the Emerites in 2010

But More important than that I was there when Flectch smashed the first of the season at Shrewsbury !

And this from a member of the Green Army who lives 350 miles away from Plymouth now but whos heart is always at Home at 3pm on a saturday

When Im not at the match I have to have my texts from my friends at the game or sky sports news on just to see how we are doing

James all I want is my Pride back,Pride to wear my funny coloured green shirt and for someone to ask who's shirt it is
Pride to talk in the office on a monday about a win on a saturday

Give me that and I promise I will not expect too much and groan when we dont quite get what we deserve

Exilled Green Blooded Janner

PS Give Chris a Role on the board as Fans Representitive he has been awesome and has managed in a few months to unite a fanbase that successive boards have not managed in the years since Holloway left

Mr Brent

My dear old Dad took me to my first Argyle game in 1955, I cannot remember who we were playing, or the result!

That is when my passion for our local football club began. A few years later, we took my younger brother (TinTin) to his first game, and likewise his passion for the club commenced. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then, but my love of the club has never wavered. I am now approaching my 67th birthday and have been a season ticket holder since my retirement from the Police in 1994.

I suppose I am a boring old sod really, as I don't drink, don't smoke(and never have!), I love my family and our dogs, and I love my football. Since 1994 I have been to most home matches, I have only missed a handful due to illness etc, and my aim is to continue this in the future.

Thanks to you, it seems as if we now have a future, and I thank you for that!!

Mr Brent

There have been times recently when i have been disappointed with the conduct of the Argyle board(s), i can see from the way you have conducted yourself over the last 7-8 months, that this disappointment will not continue.

I have been proud of the fans, the players, the staff, but the 'club' has felt like a bit of a let down. I look forward to completing the feeling of pride that i had in my club from the age of 5 until the far eat sell out. You will be the catalyst for this.

Thank you Mr Brent, for giving the club it's respect back.

I was given a Chelsea shirt when I was 4,I was born in Plymouth but moved to Portsmouth when I was 6 months old,In 1983, As My parents had to make a decision where we to live either Rosyth or Devonport an awful decision ,
but my parents chose Devonport.
I was in Pompey, when shocking fans rioted in Plymouth and shockingly sprayed the monuments on the Hoe,I took a huge beating in Pompey as I supported Plymouth Argyle
I so thankyou in your determination, and your style that you have conducted ,our club really needs to reflect the phrase ,"Run by fans for fans",and that wasnt the case.

Thankyou Jame Brent.........................,

Mr. Brent,

S.o.S

Save. our. Saturdays.

Working all week is tough. Without the promise of Argyle at the end it'd be unbearable. Don't let our childhoods, our futures, our hopes and dreams, our love go to waste.

To paraphrase a desperate Princess;

Help us James Brent, you're our only hope (or nikkk might buy us in an auction? ) .

Cheers.

James,

Thank you for everything so far you have done for our beloved club.

Now 41, I have been going since aged 4.

It's totally in the blood and something any true fan cannot turn his/her back on, despite all the troubles, misfortunes we have encountered along a very rocky road.

There is no better feeling than that last minute winner or the 'backs against the wall' away win.

Even on non match days, I cant walk past the ground without having a peep through the gates at the pitch

Finally... you have my word.... If I win the Euromillions... the vast majority of it is Argyle bound !!!

KEEP THE FAITH and GOOD LUCK
Jason

Mr Brent, thank you for all you have done & are doing to bring the ownership of Argyle to a successful conclusion. There has been so much shame & negativity attached to our club in recent times & you have been, through your bid for the club, the catalyst for the return of pride, passion & hope in the name & future of Plymouth Argyle.

James.
My dad first took me to Home Park in the mid sixties, and like my brother before me he intoduced me to something special, sadly he passed away earlier this year aged 90 following a stroke. I hope he somehow finds out that his club has passed into safe hands.
Good luck and thank you!
Pete Hornsby
p.s. For a number of years I thought that we were called "bleedy Argyle" cos thats what my mum used to call us!!

Mr Brent

A life without Argyle is unimaginable. My son, 10 years old, and I, travel from the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, home and away, as much as we can. I'm from Cornwall, my lad born in Derriford in Plymouth. Argyle connects us back to our roots. I love being surrounded by Westcountry folk. I love my pint at the Brit. I love my pasty on the way to the ground. I love our fans. You need to come away with us! The most amazing away support and it will tell you all you need to know about the feeling for the club by the fans. Plymouth has taken a lot of knocks over the years, and this is a wrong that can be righted. You are the man to do that job. Stick at it! You know it makes sense. Geddon James!!
