Following conversations with Gary Maguire and Ian Newell from the Green Taverners I can confirm that I will now be signing the agreement letter.

I do so despite the fact that I still have serious concerns about the way the whole sale and purchase process has been conducted and how the staff and players have been treated and intimidated throughout the last 9 months.

The Green Taverners have been absolutely fantastic in their support of the staff and I have the upmost respect for the work they have done. As such I feel that compromising my own moral position on this issue is inconsequential in comparison to the contribution that they have made and continue to make on behalf of the club.

Great news! This isn't a case of "morals aside" - you're just taking into account the morals of many rather than your own, thank-you.

Very wise.

Let's face it, the alternative consequences for you, personally, and the club as a whole, wouldn't have been pretty.

One down, one to go...

Thank you, Tony.

I have no doubt that none of us know the full picture, and a time will come when you may wish to put your side of events across.

You are right in that the staff deserve this deal to go through, so much more than anything else.

Again, thank you.

Tip of the hat, Tony. Well done.

Many have suffered as a result of this debacle.

We'll never forget the sacrifices made by the 300. :scarf:

I'm pleased you have arrived at this decision at great cost to you - and I don't just mean financially. But your "serious concerns" must have been there for months. Why wait until the eleventh hour, after making an apparently intractable statement, before examining your "own moral position" and making an about turn?
I want my game back!

For whatever reason this decision has been reached can't we just leave out the sniping and look forward to getting over the next obstacle? Thank you Tony.
