E-mail sent.

Sir,
As a fan that has supported Argle for 50 years, I implore you to do the right thing and end this intolerable situation.
The staff, players and all concerned with Argyle have suffered enough.

Regards,

Peter.

Emailed to Brenda today;

Dear Brendan,

I have supported Plymouth Argyle since 1990. Most of my mates never understood why, after all they're rubbish aren't they? Fast forward 21 years and I still follow the club - they have been the only club I have ever supported - albeit for the last 8 years from the other side of the globe on PASOTI/the internet. There are many, many others like me across the world for whom Argyle are held very dear.

I have followed with a growing sense of anger the developments since Argyle entered administration and hereby add my voice to the list of Argyle supporters dismayed at the threatened delay yet again of the transfer of ownership of the club to James Brent.

As an (admitedly subjective) observer it appears that you, the administrator, made a mistake in your choice of preferred bidder, a mistake which I believe your company should bear.

Given this, please may I suggest you support and close the Brent proposal tomorrow (UK time).

Yours sincerely

FWIW, here's mine:

28 October 2001

The P & A Partnership
Sheffield

To whom it may concern;

Firstly, it is unfortunate that I feel the need to take up my time and yours by expressing my feelings about the ongoing situation.

I will not waste time detailing how badly I feel the process has been handled, but I'm sure your withdrawal of Mr Guilfoyle from direct communication with almost everyone indicates that you recognise that he is a liability to the good name of your company. The instances of questionable action permeat the whole 7 months of your firm's involvement with our club and would, in my opinion, by cause for review.

Having left much of the core actions to other people, it now appears you are prepared to threaten the success of the whole process by disputing the financial worth of your involvement. The reported figure seems to be about 33p in the £1, which is 50 times what you were happy to recommend the unsecured creditors, of whom there was no question of the quality of their services.

In short would urge yourselves to accept less than you might want in order to bring about a successful completion. The outside world will simply see that you performed the incredible feat of rescuing a bankrupt club through an unfunded administration, which will be worth far more than this money in terms of your reputation and future contracts. The alternative will be to completely alienate a significant number of "ordinary people", who have recently shown they are prepared to act when they feel it is necessary.

yours faithfully
C O Y Gs

All at Sky Sports,

Please help us in our struggle to come out of admin today.

All the hard work is done, those that have suffered 10 months of insecurity and abysmal pay have all signed in agreement to the terms of the new owner James Brent.

All that stops us is the financial demands of the very people tasked to bring us out of administration. A financial demand accrued through a staggering amount of charged hours at rates of hundreds of pounds per hour, all spent flirting with a proposed bidder that few fans wanted near their club. They tried to strip the assets from Plymouth Argyle in attempt to line their own pockets.

Now P & A are all that stands between non existence and a brighter future for Plymouth Argyle.

Please help us with just a little coverage of our plight.

"Green Army"

E-mail sent:

Dear Mr Guilfoyle

I am writing to request that you honour the staff's wages which are due.

I have a close friend who is on the payroll and have seen first hand the real hardship and pain that they have gone through over the last 12 months. I have also personally been on the receiving end of an IP's 'work' which has seen all the liquidated funds morph into fees, without any payment of a dividend......which was not the forecast at the outset - so I know how you guys operate.

Do the decent thing now - the Brent bid may not have been your ideal outcome but have no right (morally) to hold the staff to blackmail; if the business were to fail at this stage, it would be down to you and not them. You have played on their goodwill for far too long - 10 months deferral, unheard of!

Come on man, do the decent thing!

Here's mine, but without the scarf bit

Dear Mr Guilfoyle.
I have booked travel, and bought tickets to see Argyle play Cheltenham tomorrow. Like a lot of people, I can ill afford to go, but I had to make sure I was going, as I anticipated it being the first match out of administration.
Now, I find it most probably won't be, and that is down to you, and no one else. So, please, don't ask staff to defer wages again, but please give the James Brent deal the go-ahead.
This situation has gone on for way too long now. You were brought in to save the club, and that is what you must do without delay.
Behind-the-scenes staff can't waiver their hard-earned wages any longer, and we the long-suffering fans don't want to see them, the players, or our great club, suffer any longer. You have it in you to save them.
Argyle may well lose tomorrow, anyway, but that wouldn't be important: what would be, is the celebration of a new era for Plymouth Argyle, and our bid to get back to a higher playing level.
Without your help, that won't happen.
Thank you for your professionalism in this matter, and of course for doing the right thing. :scarf:
