You will now have to wear a long overcoat and yellow trousers on match day.

And later, on the sofa with Natalie!!

Now now, Mr S, we've already been warned about that sort of thing by El Presidente

Ah! Very true Mr S but isn't it the role of the Proles to partake of a modicum "rib-tickling" with the Bourgeoisie?

There is no argument to equal a happy smile!

So Mr President..... does this mean that you will continue the recent tradition and no longer be seen at Home Park on matchdays?

silkman wrote: Bloody brilliant and so well deserved. You deserve every platitude that comes your way Chris. You have been nothing short of outstanding.

One more thing you could help with though - can you score goals ;)

I agree.

Congratulations. Well earned.

The testing times may come when there's trouble at the club - the possibility is you lay yourself to be shot at by both "sides". You don't need friends now - you will need them then.
I want my game back!

I don't see it like this at all. He is purely a fan who has been given a title. Not an active role. If anything goes wrong at the club, then he will be with us fans doing what we can to resolve it/find out what went wrong etc.

Smiffy,

I understand where you are coming from. Given my background I was and still am very keen to make sure that every supporter of Argyle is embraced both during the fight to save the Club and now as we move forward.

The sad fact is that as with my day job we faced the 95/5 factor.

95% of supporters fully understand where we are, appreciate the efforts of those who have played a role in saving the Club and are looking to the future.

5% for whatever reason just want to attack. When the Trust wasn't attacking P&A we were weak, when we did we were wrong. When we engaged James Brent we were attacked. When he saved the Club they said he was there anyway.

Basically whatever happens, they saw it coming and the arguement is changed to suit.

I will debate with anyone on any platform but you cannot talk to a person who is afraid or unwilling to admit when they are wrong.

And what happens when they are wrong? The vile abuse starts.

I've seen abuse of myself on there and I can take that.

What I can't take though is the OBSESSION with IJN to the point where certain posters have actually gone onto an Exeter City forum, stalked him and spread lies.

What I can't take it people like the Taverners being attacked because they dared to support people in need.

What I can't take is people who are unable to hold a decent debate resorting to pathetic low level sniping.

There are posters on that site who I respect. Yourself smiffy, JV, Frank - even GOB I believe just snipes because its the done thing.

There are a couple though that claim to be Argyle fans yet turn on their own.

It got to a point where 95% of my energies were going on the 5%. This is not fair on the overwhelming majority of supporters who want to play a part in an exciting future for the Club.

I throw the challenge back to you smiffy - rather than ask me to continue reaching out, maybe it is time for the like of JV, Frank and yourself to stop turning a blind eye to personal abuse, stop standing by as fellow greens go to Exeter fans to attack one of their own and maybe just say that they are the ones in the wrong.

You know full well that I will always be inclusive. I pledge to give every spare minute that I have to play a role in making Argyle great again - on and off the pitch.

Sometimes though if somebody does not want to play a part then you have to let them go.

Chris

I look forward to the full reply mate
