A THANK YOU post first of all …

Firstly, I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Chris, who gave up his time to escort me to the awards ceremony last night.

Chris, your presence very much kept me on a calmer level rather than going to the awards feeling like a complete nervous wreck. I can’t thank you enough for making this easier for me. If you ever get the chance to go to the same hotel again (as if –at those prices!) … make sure you take a map with you to help you get around next time  ;)

Seriously though … thank you so much :nworthy:

Secondly, I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Ian and Rob :nworthy: (greengenes) who very, very kindly made sure I would not be ‘out of pocket’ from this event, as far as any further travel expenses were concerned, drinks for the night and so on. I have a feeling there were a few other people who contributed as well, although (if I have that right), my apologies for not knowing who you are (and a huge thank you to yourselves as well). An absolutely awesome gesture from you guys. You’re the tops and I can’t thank you enough.

A HUGE thank you to Steve :nworthy: as well from GoS who kindly helped me in ‘my hour of need’ when I was being asked to email photos to the football league … and Steve kindly emailed some to me (taken from GoS)to forward on to the F/L. Thank you Steve (and Bob for helping me to get hold of Steve). Much appreciated.

And a HUGE thank you also needs to go to everyone who nominated me for this award in the first place. I still find that hard to believe … having the backing of James Brent, Carl Fletcher, Club President and countless members of the Green Army / Pasoti-ites (with Ian starting that off you little tinker you   ) voting for me to receive this award  . I am humbled beyond what any words could express :nworthy:

I know one thing for definite … the Green Army are a very special group of supporters that have all gone beyond and above in many, many ways and I don’t care what anyone says … we ARE the best :scarf: :scarf:

And lastly, but by no means least, a HUGE thank you to everyone who volunteered to help with those bucket collections, throughout those tough times. Absolutely brilliant and my hats go off to you all … Bob(keepitgreen) and his grandson Leon, Quentin (narrowboat), Liam (tynanhitsthe barnpost), Lesley Reardon, Al (oddball), Tom Smith, martynargyle, Mike Trigger and several other youngsters and all those (apologies for not remembering your names) who have helped along the way. Great support with this, as well as the fantastic support of the Green Army as a whole, who donated their money time and time again. :scarf: :nworthy: :scarf:

EVERYONE did their bit for our club

Once again, thank you for all your kind messages. I honestly can’t believe what the past few days have been like for me. It feels almost as if I’ve been on a different planet (and as wholly appreciative as I am of this … would like to come back down to earth asap).

The actual event …

WOW!!

Sunday started off by catching a bus to Tiverton (trust them to do rail works somewhere along the line on this particular day  ), followed by the train to Paddington Station and taxi to the hotel. We then dropped our cases off in our rooms and immediately went out to find somewhere to eat, before heading back to relax for a bit before the actual event was due to take place.

Strangely enough, I felt calm throughout the best part of the evening … nerves only kicking in a bit about 20 minutes or so before the announcement. So I was pleased on this front.

The venue was stunning, the people we sat with were lovely people to get on with / talk to and yes, for those of you who know me and my somewhat bizarre eating habits  .. the sandwiches were very nice thank you

Buckets … I seriously contemplated on taking one with me (although a smaller size than the orange ones) but I bottled it in the end and to be honest, I don’t think it would have been the right occasion to have had a go at this (even though the room was loaded with all the various money people there  ).

When the awards started and the video shoot came on, it looked fantastic to see ‘our’ people being shown at this venue … until I heard my ‘Jannerism’ and thought, “Holy smoke, my accent is a strong one" . Whilst I saw what was going on in the shoot, I must confess to not having taken everything in as to what was said (I was seconds away from having to walk up on stage and was at this point thinking, “Oh hell, it’s any moment now”).

I collected the award, said what I did on stage and was then taken to the media room. Was interviewed with the woman (who I keep forgetting her name) from the football league show (ah … is it Lizzy?), had photo’s taken and then an interview with someone who I can not remember where he was from, before then going back to the table and picking up on the countless number of texts my phone was receiving.

The first thing I asked Chris when getting back to the table was ... "I did mention everyone didn't I ... the staff, players and our fans?" I felt I had, but it's such a different world when being asked things and you know there are hundreds there looking on and listening! Though saying this, many asked me if I had rehearsed what I had said and thought I had done well (just hope something comes up with that part so I can hear for myself).

The night was followed by the party, then, feeling completely shattered, it was time for a few hours sleep.

Was meant to do an interview with Sparksy, but for whatever reason we couldn’t connect with each other, so this will be done tomorrow morning instead.

Then it was breakfast, bye bye stunning hotel  , taxi to the station with an earlier train sitting at the platform with minutes to go before it left, of which we quickly took this one.

Arrived back in Plymouth about 1.30(ish) and was gratefully picked up by Ian :nworthy: who whizzed us up to the club. More photo’s, interview with Jason for the OS and then home time … before a phone call interview at 3.15 with Chris Cooper from sky sports radio, followed by an interview of the same kind at 6.30pm with talk sport and apparently having something shown on The late kick off tonight

An unbelievable couple of days of which I feel completely shattered now … but was worth it to bring that trophy home to us :D

All in all … a great time, many thanks to each and every one of you and best of all … Plymouth Argyle, yourselves, our players and staff all got the mention we deserved for everything we achieved between us :scarf: :scarf:

Bloody brilliant!!!

Sue, absolutely fantastic.

Tugging my forelock now and bowing very low :nworthy: :nworthy: :nworthy:

A thoroughly deserved award for a thoroughly deserving person.

I was out of breath myself, reading your account of the couple of days. Time out now for you to draw breath and relax. Look forward to seeing you parade your trophy on saturday.

Excellent Sue, fully deserved. I am sure there are plenty of others who are deserving of such an acolade, just not this year.

I have a sincere apology to make

I need to highlight ZeeZan's brilliant efforts in all that she did with me as well  :nworthy:

I've known Zee for quite a while now and we have kind of become stuck together throughout recent months  in the things we have been doing around the club and she really does deserve to be mentioned too for all her time and hard work placed into so many things as well

She is a fantastic young lady, of which we have had many a good time / laughs together (around Argyle and away from Argyle) who has been fantastic and enjoyed helping out with many things too.

Zee ... feel really bad mate that I forgot to mention your name

Please accept my apologies x x
