As I've said numerous time, I haven't got a problem with JB, just the way the situation arose that he was able to get a deal that was so good for him personally but no so good for the long term future of the football club.

Such a contrast with the replies we had from Toddy a couple of years ago.

Au contriare, answers about the recent property deal could have been copied direct from the Todd's statements about his property wheeling & dealing

Didn't one poster famously say he'd met Mr Todd in a pub and thought he was " a genuine guy"? Surely a precursor to "I've looked into his eyes"

Only concern would be the capacity of the new stand, it sounds as if it will only hold 5,000 which is a bit disappointing but, hopefully, it will be designed to be capable of being easily enlarged.

I thought Phase 1 held 12,000? If so, the new Grandstand would hold 8,000 bringing the total capacity up to the 20,000 mentioned in the Q&A.

According to Wikipedia the Lyndhurst is home to around 6,000 fans, with the Devonport and Barn Park holding around 3,500 each so 13,000 fans in total, so the new grandstand should hold around 7,000 fans if we are to have a 20,000 seater stadium post-redevelopment...

Let's believe Wikipedia.

It was added by me in good faith, so yes, let's.

I forget where I got it from now. Probably GoS (there used to be a page called History of Home Park).

Ownership of the new grandstand- unresolved question ??

Is someone able to give me a clearer explanation of this extract from the James Brent Q&A ? ........

Q: Who will own the freehold of the new grandstand (and associated developments) once it is completed?

A: Plymouth City Council will own the land on which the grandstand is built. Plymouth Argyle Football Club will have a 30-year lease over the football parts and a 125-year lease over the balance. The cost of the new development will be borne by the property owner.

In particular, I don't know what he means by "property owner" in the last sentence. Sounds to me like James Brent (or his development company) will privately own the grandstand, separately from the football club ?

I find his Q&A answer confusing as it could be interpreted in a number of ways. His answer appears to deal with who owns the land rather than who owns the grandstand and associated developments (which is the important bit).

Is there a more straightforward ("idiots guide") way of explaining the all facts about who owns what once the grandstand development is completed.

I am sure it was stated by the club at the time of building that the 3 new sides have a total capacity of 12,700.

I think we need a stadium that holds 20,000, you can't really be serious regarding ambition in a stadium with less than 20,000 capacity.

This will be sufficient for when we get back into the Championship and if we go any further it could be extended, as stated in the Brent Q & A's.
