I wonder what Barabara Cuda would be saying if he were still here?

 The Guardian website is a hilarious must-see today - priggish self-pity and some hilarious (guilty pleasures) trolling responses...

A question, was Milli-Brand Labour 2015's "Well.... alllll-right!" moment?

Result if every vote had equal value would have been:-

Con 240
Lab 198
UKIP 82
Lib 51
SNP 31
Green 25
DUP 4
Plaid C 4
Others 7

Like them or not UKIP were the most hard done by with 1 MP to show for 3.8M votes.
Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

I today find myself in two minds, disappointed that the Tories have got back in but pleased that Ed Miliband is not the country's leader. It is my belief that with a different leader it would have been much closer if not winnable.

As for the SNP seems to be turning in to a cult, seems people would have voted SNP if they had put a horse up as a candidate. A twenty year old who is still studying at university was elected. He will give them the benefit of his experience and time?
Premier League one day?

He? It looked like a butch looking woman to me. There was an interesting observation made by the elderly Norman Tebbit earlier. He said that it is all very well the Nationalists splitting away from the UK and the influence of Westminster but the reality is they would just become a small country like Lithuania or Estonia being told what to do by Brussels instead with little say over their own laws and destiny, or words to that effect.

Cobi Budge. wrote:
The SW is often ignored at times like this, but here in Plymouth the result in itself has been quite stunning. I've canvassed and campaigned for Oliver Colvile before, a good MP but defending a small majority, I didn't think in a million years he'd hold the seat against Luke Pollard, he's done that. But the most shocking result comes from Moor View, quite low down on the Tory list of target seats, yet Johnny Mercer has unseated Alison Seabeck, and he hasn't just scraped in either. The exit poll had both Plymouth seats down as Red.

I am Blue through and through however I must disagree with you there Cobi.

Colville has never voted against his party line. Even on an issue like the pasty tax that could have effected his constituents. If ever there was an MP angling for a cabinet post it is him.

The Ukip vote scuppered Labour in both Plymouth seats. 5 more years of Osborne & Gove. I'm English and ashamed to be.
Never wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.

Democracy is terrible, isn't it? Maybe you should go and live in Russia or Marxist Scotland.

The meaning of democracy is symbolized by Lincoln's words "Government of the people by the people for the people"

Hope someone tells Dave that doesn't just mean hard working people.

Our new culture secretary has labelled the BBC license fee 'worse than a poll tax' and our new justice secretary has written articles advocating the reintroduction of hanging.

Dark days.

Dark days my arse. I've been out and about since Friday, in at work today - lots of people from different cultures and backgrounds all working together. I've barely heard anyone talk about the election. Lots of newspapers and keyboard worriers trying to scare people.

They aren't dark days yet because their ideas haven't been put into practice yet.

Are you comfortable with a culture secretary that hates the BBC? A justice secretary that wants to bring back hanging? Not to mention a repeal of the Human Rights Act, further privatisation of the NHS, huge benefit cuts to the most vulnerable in society which will mean even more social inequality and poverty, and an EU referendum that could isolate us?

That's just off the top of my head.
