Not sure about that. I don't think Christians had much to do with it to be honest Ade. Leastwise, I don't think the Monty Python boys made it out of any religious conviction—more likely an irreligious one, or just because they viewed themselves as breaking taboos, which I guess is fair play to them.
I have seen it and even I think parts of it are very funny indeed, but I cannot watch it any more, as for me the last scene is very uncomfortable viewing.
