And here are we in the UK gushing with admiration and rushing to imitate their politics, complete with our own blond haired toady mimicking Trumps populist rallies and electioneering.
I feel physically sick.

He was elected on ‘draining the swamp’.
He has now become the swamp.

The way the Democrats are sticking to their objective of narrating what exactly occurred in the Ukraine was in it’s own way enthralling and compelling. Devin Nunes and his repugnant party can not defend the indefensible and continue to try and change the story to one of it’s choosing.
Apparently, even whilst doing or possibly in conjunction with the president’s bidding to castigate a career diplomat as a failure, Giulliani still had time to make a foreign energy deal to enrich himself (and maybe his boss?).
The looks of the GOP during the recess showed the strain they are under. Jim Jordan, for so long the go to guy in the sessions (now Trey Goudi has resigned himself to being a Fox News pundit) is strangely mooted. Is this because he had the rug pulled from under him when questioning why the whistle-blower (the one person that started it all) is not being brought to the inquiry. The Democrat response to that “ we’ll gladly have President Trump take a seat” seems to have wilted his endeavour.
All through today’s hearing, POTUS cannot stop himself from witness intimidation and threats and is enough for more and more people to understand just who they voted for and who they are defending.
Where’s Lindsay Graham? Hiding away because he knows, he knows Trumps grasp at being in one hot seat is being deferred to another hot seat when all is said and done.
I hope that in his belligerent way Trump signs the Roger Stone pardon and then there will be no doubt exactly what kind of two bit petty gangster he wants to be.

You’re right, it was compelling viewing.
The republicans are trying to defend, the indefensible.
That Jim Jordan is awful, he can’t even the timeline right.
One ironic, point, is that they want the right to question the whistleblower, but the WH, will not let the democrats speak to Giulliani, Bolton and others, and will not release some papers, that Kent and Taylor, wanted to bring.
