As Theresa May is the incumbent PM, can I take this opportunity to refer to the thread title and solicit that the next leader of the Conservative party could be the young (ish at 49) backbencher David Cameron. Could do a whole lot worse.

Boris you're not going to make it. You're popular but when push comes to shove you aren't going to get in as PM.
Ok Theresa, what do you propose?
Well, we sucker Gove into thinking he has a better chance without you. He shafts you, you leave quietly to lick your wounds.
Fine, then what?
Well, Gove is seen (rightly) as a backstabber, we can see him and the others off. Andrea will goof and I'm in.
Well, you choose what job you want: Home Office, No 11?
No, no I want Foreign Secretary.
Foreign Secretary, well ok the Boris, a promise is a promise.
When shall we meet again Theresa?
When the hurlyburly's done, when the battle's lost and won.

Justice for the ex Justice secretary.

Good times ahead.

And he is foreign, after all.
Yes, he can insult others in their own language.
