Surely the number one skill any leader needs is the ability to spot talent and surround yourself with top class people and manage them. To be fair TM isn't exactly spoiled for choice but putting Boris in charge of the Foreign Office at one of the most diplomatically delicate times in our peace time History, was a move of mind blowing stupidity.
Today we witnessed the unprecedented spectacle of a Prime Minister publicly slapping down the Foreign Secretary (after his comments about Saudi just when she was smoosing them) saying he "wasn't speaking for the government"!! What??? ...... This after he had reportedly told four EU ambassadors he had no problem with freedom of movement of people if we could stay in the single market. On that subject her decision to appoint three people with overlapping and apparently conflicting views to negotiate Brexit (Fox, Davis and dear old Boris) looks like a recipe for chaos, confusion and back-stabbing. She may be the best of a bad bunch on offer but she appears out of her depth - we would have been better off with Cameron IMO.
