Are they the outcome of over active imagination or is there truth behind any of them? Was there a second gunman on the grassy knoll, did the FBI/CIA blow up the twin towers, is there really an alien at Roswell?

Thoughts? I work with someone who is utterly convinced that there was no plane at the Pentagon, it was a missile and that the US Government set up explosives to bring down the towers on 9/11.

The whole Dorothy Kilgallon episode was very suspicious, even though she made plenty of enemies in her life.

I love conspiracy theories. They are all the works of nutters, but they're funny as f*ck. Take 9/11. There's plenty of concrete evidence that Flight 77 hit the Pentagon - for instance the testimonies of the hundreds of drivers on the freeway who watched the plane, the photos of the wreckage, etc but that's not enough for the conspiracy nuts: it had to have been a missile because of the size of the hole in the side of the building. Then they have to *create* a new theory (what happened to flight 77?) to make their square peg fit into a round hole. Then there's the explosives bit in the Twin Towers. Ever seen pictures of the inside of a building scheduled for demolition? The company employed to do the task will strip everything out and place hundreds of charges in key location for a safe demolition, all linked by miles of wiring. There is no chuffin' way the Twin Towers could be prepped for demolition in a couple of hours without anyone knowing about it. No effin way.

So, yeah, 99.9% of all conspiracy theories are pure bollox.

With the JjFK assasinqtion, i never understood how one bullet passed through the president's body and then through the governor's body leaving a neat exit wound in JFK's neck and remaining intact to be found on a stretcher at the hospital and the other bullet fired from the same gun explodes his head.

What I find strange is that anyone who dare to question the establishment are tarnished as conspiracy theorists as if some kind of nutcase. The truth of the matter is that the establishment should be questioned when such catastrophic events happen and they have massive holes in their official stories.

Take 9/11 for instance.

There are thousands of experienced pilots, architects and engineers who do not accept the official 9/11 commission report after studying the evidence, who have set up their own group 9/11 truth. There are many eye witness accounts from firemen that were there on that fateful day who said they had heard a series of explosions similar to the blasts heard in a demolition. World trade building 7 collapsed into its own footings at free fall speed despite never being hit by an aeroplane.

Documentaries to watch if you're interested in why people are questioning the official 9/11 commission report.

9/11 decade of deception
9/11 Trillions: Follow the money
Skygate 9/11
Loose change 9/11
Everything is a rich mans trick

Now take Princess Diana. She writes a letter stating that her husband has told her, that he will have her killed in a car accident. She gives this letter to her butler. She dies in a car accident with no eyewitnesses about, all the cctv cameras are down for that evening. Prince Charles doesn't even get questioned by the police.

If that happened to a normal person, the husband without question, would have been questioned, charged and probably convicted of conspiring to murder.

Hardly "thousands" - "hundreds" of architects and engineers are party to the AE911 movement: the vast majority, 99%+ of specialists in those fields agree with the official findings. But they must be wrong. Or being bribed by the Government or something.

Rather than spending time debunking the half-baked alternative theories into the collapse of the buildings, answer me this: it takes weeks of work to prep a building for a safe demolition. Everything is stripped out down to the bare concrete supports, hundreds of charges and explosives are placed in specific locations to ensure the building falls correctly. There are miles of cables and wiring, criss-crossings open spaces sending the correct charge signals to the explosives. These aren't things you can do in secret, or hide from public view. Not in the slightest.

It looks a little like this:

So how were the buildings prepped for demolition without anyone knowing about it?

Then that Diana letter. So what? She wrote a letter saying she thought that Charles was going to kill her. She also said in that letter that Camilla was a ruse and Charles was really going to hitch up with Harry and William's nanny, Tiggy Legge-Bourke. She was wrong about that. That letter was nothing more than the paranoid thoughts of a desperately unhappy woman - that she wrote about the threat of being killed in a car-crash ... and then being killed in a car-crash is nothing more than a very unlucky coincidence. Don't forget that the driver of the car she was in, Henri Paul was three-times over the French drink-drive limit.

The important thing to bear in mind about conspiracy theories is that they are pretty much always wrong

The Denver Airport conspiracy is a bit spooky...still rubbish though.
