i really don't get the love in for mayor, he created forward play with fancy dribbles etc but at the end looses the ball, fluffs a shot if he actually takes one, or passes to the opposition. bafffles me :think:

I agree re Mayor. Lewis did some great runs without getting the pass and the commentator blamed him for not being on Mayors wavelength!! Yes he carries the ball 40 yards but so what when there is no end result. The balance of the team is all around him. He is a winger, play him as that.

Danny Mayor’s dribbling is a thing of shear beauty, what a talent!
Then there is the passing, shooting and awareness of teammates which are so sadly lacking, which is such a shame, as his other talents are so rare.

This for me also. Yes he has fancy feet, but most importantly NO end product. Hull had no player remotely like him
, but play as a team with robust, athletic players, round pegs in round holes.
