Joe Edwards for me. A midfielder played at wing back. And yet still does has done a good job.
Unfortunately, he lacks a crossing delivery to be played their permanently.
Shows the state of the rest of our team though when a player out of position will probably win player of the season.

Edwards has been exceptional in a misfiring team. Last nights game epitomises him completely; still chasing, still encouraging and still bo**ocking when needed. He picked himself up and tried to galvanise those around him time and time again.

He gets away with a lot due to his popularity that others certainly wouldn't.
He got caught out of position for a goal v Hull and I said at the time, Adam Lewis would have been crucified if he was lay helplessly on his back watching his man score a goal.
That said he has had a solid season. He isn't a career RWB but made the position his own.

Mayer is our best player so should be the obvious winner but I went for Connor Grant. He's always been a class act but this season he has been very consistent, versatile and effective. He must be near the top of the list when it comes to goals and assists and assists to the assister (if there is such a thing).

It's a shame that a young striker who has come through our academy and has scored 18 goals in his first full season (and may yet score 20) can only get 3% of the vote.
