Hilderberto Pereira is an interesting one. The guy is clearly off his trolley but he could tear this division apart. Used to be compared to Hulk the Brazillian winger because of his pace and power.

I'd take Byrne who played against us for Oldham. Good passer and got an engine on him - not in the Toums mould in terms of build or style, but I'd take him over Sarcevic. Good footballer.

I thought that.

I remember losing Banton after the Burton defeat and thinking we were doomed.

Oldham need to be losing Eoin Doyle right now about as much as an axe blow to the head.
He hasn't played for a couple of weeks and is out with a serious illness.

It was hoped that Doyle may recover from his illness soon, but it appears to be worse than first believed, with it reported he may be suffering from a blood clot that could keep him out for months rather than weeks.

Surprised to see Paddy Madden moving again. Goalscorers are worth their weight in gold yet so many consistent scorers in the lower leagues are frequently on the move.

Bury look significantly stronger after the first four days of the window. Ripley is a very good goalkeeper, Ismail we know all about having caused us problems on Monday and James Hanson is a very good striker for this level too. Could be a much more difficult game on Saturday than many expected.

Peter Clarke is the leader at the back they need too. A proper Wotton type.

Look how Oldham have dropped without him, especially considering our biggest win of the season against them.

The problem is with Doyle they were often winning games 4-2 or 4-3, and he was getting goals and assists left right and centre.

Without him they are struggling for goals but still conceding the two or three, which isn't the best combination.

Pompey fan here. Not quite in January, but we released Drew Talbot towards the end of September. Him and Main were the worst player we had remaining from Paul Cook's regime, glad they've gone.

Oldham have lost all those players yet still loan Peter Clarke to Bury ??? Seems rather odd so assuming nothing special anymore??
