Whilst I have money on to finish in the top six at 250/1, I have just managed to get a double on with betvictor at 14/1 for Argyle to be in the playoffs and Bury to finish bottom. Consider good chance of it. thought some of you might be interested in similar bet

Thanks for the thought - interesting shout.

I wonder how much collectively Argyle fans stand to make should we finish top half or better still the play offs, it must be a good few quid.

Just from people I know, about £20 k, based on 100 / 1 ( Top Six finish ). The bookies' odds seem to be about a week behind the curve all the time. I also know a few who went the whole hog, backing Argo to win promotion ( from the play-offs) at 200 / 1.

I'm in for £2505 for top 6 (£5 at 500/1) and £120 for top half (£10 at 11/1).

After Tuesday's win the cash outs are £183.06 and £68.40.

I'm 3.5K for top half (various bets at various prices, mostly 50/1, 33/1 and 25/1), and £500 for top 6 (a small bet at 100/1 always thought it was a step too far), further £1k for promotion.
I'm not cashing out at all. I've been lucky enough to back us most weeks since mid November and apart from the two kicks in the teeth that were Blackpool and Rotherham its been a very nice earner. The bookies seem to finally have caught up as we are the shortest price we've been for an away game this season at Oxford.

£1340 for a top half finish. Had £20 @ 66/1 after seeing us lose at Pompey.

Put £20 on at 25/1 for top half finish,£10 at 500/1 and £5 at 250/1 both top 6 finish, hoped for top half and just wishful thinking for top 6,but who knows now, keep it going lads.

The top half bets are looking very smart now. Still think top 6 is unlikely but hope we get there and you all have very nice holidays off the back of it. Been placing smaller bets by match but so nowhere near in the thousands up but still enjoyable taking money off the bookies!

I think tomorrow will be the first game in a couple of months where i wont be backing us to win, we are under 2/1 which is about right now, therefore a no bet for me, just glad its taken them so long to catch on.
Would be nice to think of a good number of Argyle fans jetting off in June enjoying a relaxing week or two just because Argyle played well - warms the heart just thinking about it.

25,000 euro to come off a 100 euro bet @ 250/1 to be promoted. I did win 6,000 pounds on the 2004 promotion...since then about 500 euros lost in total on 3 Argyle bets.

Apart from winning 20 quid on Red Rum's second Grand National (yes that old!)..I only bet now and again on Argyle.

Could be a nail biting end to the season!

Why are you glad? I have been delighted with the bookies constantly offering overly generous odds on us (and at 12/1 for the pay offs I believe they still are)

Seems an odd reason not to have a bet. Oxford have lost 5 of the last 6 games. We've won 5 of the last 6. I'd say it's the right time to have a bet.
