The club have announced an extra allotment of shares at Companies House.

In April 2017 the shares in the club were at 6,685,477 and is now at 8,918,534, an extra 2,233,057 shares at £1 a share.

Maybe it's related to the extra funding needed to complete the refurbishment of the grandstand?
Someone with more experience with company shares than me will know better.

I thought Brent said the extra funding was already covered with no interference with current club revenue finances.

It would indicate that some or all the current directors have increased their investment in the Club.

So the directors or director have invested another £2.2 million? Fantastic!

Not sure on that as the amount paid is given as 1.455404

Given the amount unpaid is £0 it would suggest for the £1 shares the amount paid per share was £1.455404

So is that per share HCG to make £3.25m rather than being £1.45m?

Yeah from my time filling those forms out it's always amount paid per share, therefore £3.25m

Will be interesting to know who paid for them.

What would be more interesting to know is who holds what percentage of the total shares now these shares have been issued?

Unless the Club do a press release we will have to wait until the confirmation statement is published on the Companies House website on 4th October.

Explains where the additional funding came from for the grandstand. Would be interesting to know who bought the shares, Mr Brent, Mr Hallett, both or a third party.

It has been widely reported that Hallett and his wife have funded the grandstand improvements- I’m not sure any funding had been provided from Brent (even though he seems to be the focus of the Herald stories about the development).

However, Hallett’s investment doesn’t explain the recent change to the share allocations. The club will no doubt explain in due course.

From what I understand, the re-issuing of shares in order to raise finance is proven here in terms of Hallets original investment.

His reinvestment in the club has provided him with an extra share per block of three shares originally allocated on his first investment.

By the club re-issuing extra shares, gives the shareholder at the end of the day more equity. It also gives the club more equity capital. The value the club is worth.
